Gamescom has come and gone. Where is the winter expansion announcement?

erm......No.

The kerfluffle was a FULL Expansion was promised, and upon release day only one racial CQ was available. The rusty Minmatar Hell.

And the Door would not open.

It was only a prototype.


The problem is they have to release 2 "expansions" a year. If they had waited a few months, finished the other CQs, finished stations, maybe released some of that exploration avatar gameplay it wouldv'e have made up for not releasing 2 a year.

Yes, I understand wanting to fix game mechanics, but those shouldn't be released in 'expansions' they should be released weekly. There is a reason other MMOs charge for expansions: they actually contain content. By that I mean a lot of it, not just a little of it.

Yes reworking mechanics is nice, but then so is something new.


A balance between the two would be nice but what was the last new thing we had that made a difference?

I have to agree with that.

The game was in such a state that the last couple of years of polishing were pretty much mandatory, but I think we've come to the point where we are all yearning for some new, sweeping changes.

It still doesn't mean that the last expansions weren't actually just that... a huge amount of game play has been dramatically improved... but yes, I'm ready for some new cool stuff as well.

I think CCP is too. Smile

What hes means is he has no clue. Also there trying to fix DUST and there trying to pitch valkyrie. So now the dev teams are spread far and wide as the eye can see and in a small cupboard you will find a lonely eve dev working on the new patch.

Quoting "you will die" in EvE is fail Chars dont die in EvE. Unless you have a heart attack eek.

End of the day dust went downhill from day 1 when ccp should have made a pc version and not let Sony have all the spoils. Not everyone has a ps3 you know.

CCP prior revelations we had pretty much full intergration with you and new everything that was happening. You used to pop in local with ccp ships and chat to everyone on patch day.

I use to play a game that when they released an expansion it actually added more content to the game instead of adjust and fixing the existing content.

I can understand why they don't really add more content or more powerful ships to the game.

Now the exploration expension removed all the exploration bits from the game, they can realease an expension that puts exploration back into the game.

In Gamescom interview for russian gaming site, CCP Soundwave said that new info about Winter expansion will come in the next 2-3 weeks.

It's amazing to me how people can post so much vitriol and not substantiate any of it. DUST is a flop atm... that much is true. ...but NOTHING you posted had anything to do with it. Not a thing. It's about fundamental game play and nothing more. The problem with DUST is simply DUST. Nothing external. Nothing about aurem or the platform. The game just sucks to play. Stop trolling foo... Roll
