Screen is like looking through fog

I've recently bought this PC and fired up EVE for the first time.

The screen has a slightly foggy look to it, though not the neocom or other UI elements, also stations and jumpgates are not rendering properly. I'd post a screenshot but using print screen somehow prints my desktop and not the game and the shortcut for print screen ingame is locked without a key bound (curious).
The PC should more than meet any specification requirements.

I'm not sure if this is a common problem or if there is a common workaround, any ideas?

CPU: intel i5-4570 quad core 3.2ghz
RAM: 8gb
Windows 7
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
