Am I the only one who thinks the new model looks like a Caldari Fighter/Bomber on steroids? Not that that's a bad thing, actually, on the contrary, IMO.

The model is better, but also more generic. I just hope it doesn't become a trend.

Terrible. Asymmetry is what gives caldari it's charm - crow is one of the most beautiful ships due to its model and paint job, and now people want to trade it for this generic thing?

Asymmetry in a ship that has a wing like design is very, very tricky to pull off well. The Scorpion for example looked and turned like a peg legged drunk staggering home in a high wind, while the Raven (especially now) pulls it off quite nicely.

The Crow was never a ship I had a problem with in this department. That being said, even symmetrical this model is vastly superior to the old one. It simply looks more dangerous, although part of that is the really nice design of the cockpit area.

Picturing this black with red stripes and the Kaalakiota logo on each wing makes me fall in love.

Because the cockpit is small it would get away with having a metallic red sheen. (Note: this is different from the suspect sounding bright red end the current crow sports)



I'd say reduce the size of the tower a bit and place slightly smaller rocket launchers on top of each wing and there we have our monster.

But we do need at least some asymmetry, Maybe that could be achieved by adding sensor equipment?

I feel I have a special relationship with the Condor because I build and sold them during Beta for a while.

Essentially, next to the Heron they where the first ship I flew, that is why I prefer the old model. The new one is symmetrical but lacks a certain flavour that the orginal model does create.

I wish there was a way for the old and new models to coexist next to eachother, just like the Mark I and Mark V vipers in Battlestar gallactica.

I have to say I'd be verrrryyy happy to see it in the winter expansion :)

Indeed!

CCP Atropos got in contact with me over the weekend to correct my mistake here. Apparently this was not a player created ship and was a prototype model created by our own art department.

I really do apologize for giving you guys misleading information. Someone, and I will not say who, had told me the wrong information to begin with so I am correcting this for you as it is the right thing to do.

If only the Raptor or Crow were somewhat useful in comparison to their counterparts... Are they getting buffs at least?
