I'm EU time zone, personally. I doubt there's going to be a lack of EU fleets.

Yeah, no. Vee is generally all over that. If you are afraid to fight Vee (and there's no shame in that), then I can pester him to let me lead some fleets in the EG ownzone.

Why would I want to fight Vee? Assuming you are talking about who I think you're talking about then he's blue to me, apparently.

You need to have personally set blue standings. The standard alliance ones do now show up.

We are fighting undefended structures at the moment. I would love for INIT. and 4O1k to actually fight us instead of run away in terror at the sight of 30 harpies.

Er, we only blob 30 harpies? What's going on here...

Of course they don't! Why would they? :ccp:

I did a small roam last night limited to only 30 people in fleet, which included all of 10 harpies and 2 bursts. When confronted with this terrifying force, INIT. docked up.

If they wouldn't come up to the ice fields, how were they scanning Retrievers?
Have Goons got access to a magical device that scans ship fits over a vast distance?

You'd be surprised, but that miner next to you in the skiff that seems to have gone AFK with a full hold is actually passive targeting and scanning you.

hehe, nice hiding in plain sight, I thought as much and pointed out in my followup post, I've done it myself for the NO guys using a Procurer. But seriously scanning Retrievers? Waste of a scout when you can scan them with blasters and get the desired result every time.

As someone else stated earlier in the thread, two catalysts can kill a retriever regardless of how it's fit. Why scan it?
That person would have been me P

As for Rekon X leaving his NPC corp, I wasn't thinking about benefits for Goonswarm, I was thinking about the benefits for everybody else that likes to educate idiots through the medium of dance explosions EvilPirate

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much would you mind losing this war and seeing your alliance and coalition dismantled?

Goonfleet/waffe/swarm/platoon has endured a lot throughout its history, and while it would undoubtedly make many people uncomfortable I don't think a lost war -- even one that caused the CFC to fracture -- would drive goons from the game. The worst case scenario for me is that I would go play some other game with goons rather than EVE Online; but, I don't think the goon guild in EVE would just give up and disband as a result of a lost war. We rally behind war and hardship, because that gives us a reason to log in and a cause to grit out teeth and fight for. Maybe you have some secret information that I don't about some existential threat to GSF or the CFC?

The question was more towards if you would care if you lost all your space. After being on the losing side of two sov wars, it isn't fun (unless you don't care about losing everything you and your friends have worked for). Do you care if you lose your space and assets that might be trapped? Are you willing to help friends and compatriots flee from the ruins of what was once your home region should you end up on the losing side? Even if the Swarm never disbands and Goonwaffe avoids being Kartoon'd again, how many will stick alongside you if you end up on the losing side of a war, and will you still stay with them if you lose all of the sov you have enjoyed for it's spoils and get to experience the joy of NPC nullsec?

My point being in this wall of text is that losing sucks unless you don't care; and if you don't care about losing and are ready to fight, then you either have to shed the blues beside of you or fight another coalition. Goonswarm is the largest alliance in terms of member count, outposts held, and systems secured (not counting renters) even though it barely uses a portion of that. With the current affairs of nullsec being as they are, coalitions don't want to fight each other because the stakes are too high for even a gambling man to risk them. The next war between the CFC and N3 will destroy one and cripple the other undoubtedly.

I think your questions are better posed at one of our senior leadership, or the senior leadership of N3, than at me.

Fair enough; but if you and others want a war that doesn't involve terrible levels of structure grinding and possible epic fights, then you have three options. Engage N3 or the New Southern Coalition, divide internally and begin war, or continue rolling over the smaller forces that can't really engage in a war with the CFC, at which point I would like to say that if the third option is chosen that you are just in it for the easy killmail generation factor, and not the want of a bloc level war.

Eve is what you make of it. If you want to be part of a group that has created a stagnant atmosphere across half of the galaxy, you are more than welcome to join. If you want something else, you have to go out and fight for it and try to push for it.
