Tech 2 weapons really are better

Anyone who says that tech 2 weapons aren't that much better than normal weapons you are better. I checked this out with comparing meta 4 rockets and tech 2 rockets. On a condor at frigate 4 and rocket specilisation 2 and one tech 2 BCS (no rigs) I was about to get about 65dps from 3 meta 4 rocket launchers with faction ammo. With tech 2 launchers and the same set up with faction ammo I was able to get 90dps.

So yeah tech 2 weapons really are better over tech 1 weapons by a long margin. I'm sorry but it is.

not that it does anything to really help me kill other players.

But I thought you didn't have time to train themRoll

well I got around to it eventually. I also trained from overheating but it doesn't do much good because you still die too quickly,

Wow, who'd have thought.

Also EFT ftw. You don't need to actually train things to see whether it is worth it.

And you are so badly wrong about overheating that I don't know where to start.

You're onto something big there, I can feel it.

Maybe you should inform CCP Obama about it so he proposes you for a Nobel price.

This statement will probably be followed up five weeks later with "Thermodynamics really is worth your time."
I await the thread, op.

Thermodynamics 4 is pretty much a prerequisite for solo frigate fights. If your opponent wants to fight solo they almost certainly have this trained and will be using it from the first second.

It provides very good advantages and if you learn to manage your heat across your modules your PvP results will improve. Hint: don't leave your prop mod heated for the whole fight.

I overheated all the racks and it didn't do anything. I still died.

And before anyone ask why I didn't spot them on D-scan it was because I warped to the target when it was too far to detect them on D-scan. And they were sitting on the gate. And the reason why I warp directly to the gate is because if I don't and have to burn to the gate it gives the people in the site too long and they often warp out so I try to limit the ammount of time I'm in 1 au range so I have the best chance to engage.

You are surprised that you lost a Condor to a Harpy and a Dragoon at zero? You could double your damage and it wouldn't have mattered.

Range control is critical to your success. Absolutely critical. And this includes staying out of range of certain ships. Seriously, get your navigation skills up.

yeah I didn't expect to win

but my rockets only have 8100m range so I need to keep in range to engage the enemy and I only have an afterburner on the ship. And I couldn't warp out since they'd stuck a point on me. And for range control I select orbit 7500m and activate all systems and fire away. Now I can also overheat.

And I can't train up the navigation skills because I'm training for tech 2 scout drones for level 4 missions.

Also is there anyway for a standard frigate to be able to win lone fights against faction frigates/assault frigates/destroyers/cruisers?

I seem to manage. Of course I understand the value of overheating, picking my targets and expect to lose as often as I win.

Frigate fights are fast, it's what makes them fun. I'd offer you advice but you don't listen to it so I wont bother.

I watched a Tormentor tear up a Firetail solo a couple of days ago. He did a good job. Very situational, though. Of course you can't expect to dominate everything in a Kestrel.

First of you need too know what you are fighting =)

You can kill a Cruiser in a frigate aslong as you know the capabilities etc. Like drones that can kill you and that you can out orbit the tracking.

tho taking a T1 frigate up against any Destroyer or T2 frigate without a lot of experience or knowledge isnt a good idea usualy, i think if you train into destroyers and look into the Corax you will be more satisfyed and i think it will serve for better training.

Unless your familiar with it, it's a destroyer that uses rockets and you can shield tank it decently. The think is that it can have like 7 rockets launchers so your dps can easily take on 1-2 frigates and still have a chance on other destroyers =)

If your really serious about this id be happy too talk ingame =P just mail / convo me <3

Yes, I did think of that. Yes, it did cross my mind.

That is why I didn't state that you are trolling. As I said, WHATEVER you are trying to accomplish (trolling, scam, looking for love, I really do not care) please, for the love of all that is holy, ** *****. Your posts are ********, ******, and your attitude is ********, as has been pointed out numerous times. You have created many threads, and they are all very ***. I have nothing against new players.
