I think you need to read up on this. If it takes ten maels to alpha something, and 100 guys try to fire, only the first 10 will hit and the ship pops...the rest just move on to another target.

You are very, very seriously underestimating how long the abaddon lasts on the field. You should be able to run your guns for just under three minutes with MF without injecting, not two. The mega does about six with AM, by comparison. And, you have 500m3 of cap boosters to back you up, unlike the mega...so the abaddon could possibly last longer than the mega.

Not quoting the whole oneiros argument, but seriously...there's a reason people still use guardians, dude.

Well now you're just blanketing combat in general with gallente, which is daft. If you see so much null warfare, count how many times you see a proteus fleet vs a loki or tengu fleet. Or a deimos fleet vs zealots or muninns. Or an enyo fleet vs harpies or wolves. Or an eris vs a sabre. Or catalysts/algoses vs talwars. Need I go on?
