If you want to use the profits from the 10 billion in Plex/officer-mods/T2 BPOs you ganked last night to go on a random ganking spree that's great, but that's going to be off-setting your losses, not turning a profit off of those ganks.

Suicide ganking an untanked T1 hauler with your Brutix that dropped 10b worth of stuff isn't turning a profit off the gank because it will only off-set your costs. Makes perfect sense. However, this is a thread about bringing emergent gameplay to the lost souls of highsec. Many times have I seen thread of mission runners who got their first taste of emergent gameplay & loved it, guaranteeing that they would actively seek out more emergent gameplay (or indeed, create their own) only to continue mission running because they just don't know how to do it.

Lets make the content easily accessible for all!

You turn a profit on that gank, but when you blow up a Badger half full of Veldspar right after that and none drops you have turned zero profit for that gank. That 10bil gank is either luck or good planning, not consistent profit from ganking everyone. If you spent all day ganking T1 haulers you could just as easily find yourself a lot poorer and -10 as filthy rich and not caring what your sec status is.

I have also seen an equal or greater number who put up with ganks and other people coming over to screw with them but really dislike it and seen a few more quit or take extended breaks from the game over it.

If you're playing Eve you've signed up for the possibility of getting blown up at random, but not to be randomly ganked for money without CONCORD blowing up the offender.

This is not emergent content, by the literal or any other definition.

Quote:
Emergent gameplay refers to complex situations in video games, board games or table top role playing games that emerge from the interaction of relatively simple game mechanics.

This is just game mechanics. Something emergent might come about from this, but there are better features that would produce more and better content than a license to randomly gank people in high-sec.

If you want to go post a real suggestion, rather than a troll one then come up with some new way or place for players to interact rather than simply buffing something people already do (random ganking) in a completely self-centered way. If you want someone to pay you for ganking in high sec then, well, I hear there's an ice interdiction on!Lol

At no point did I state that this should be the case. Feel free to move on & troll another thread.

I felt it was pretty heavily implied by "sec status increase", since normally aggression in high-sec results in a drop, not an increase.

By all means though, I retract the assertion. Care to respond to the rest of my points?
