What factors determine station refine yield?

Yeah, very strange indeed.

Don't know if this matters but I'm thinking outside the box here:

State War Academy is a civilian school and Caldari Navy Academy is a military school.

Also State War Academy is a starter corp for new players and CCP did implement a high tax on all starter corps.

Maybe that explains the higher tax rate?

Now we've all heard Soundwave & Co. say how they want new players to leave the starter corps asap and you're still in a starter corp. However, I doubt that would explain the difference in the refine tax.

More importantly though, were the two corps located in the same system security level while the testing was being conducted?

As I said before - very strange indeed.

Can you post screenshots?

The thing is, what you're seeing does not make sense, the refining formula is as Tau gave, so there's something odd going on, either a bug or something not as it appears.

Ok, I made some screenshots...
There is definitely some other factor playing into the Tax rate formula...

Station A - Caldari Navy - 2.56 Standing - 1.54% Tax Rate: Station A

Station B - Caldari Navy - 2.56 Standing - 3.08% Tax Rate: Station B

Station C - State War Academy - *4.04 Standing - *1.97% Tax Rate: Station C

My guess is that stations B and C are correct (higher standing getting better tax rate and lower standing getting worse tax rate). However, my confusion centers on station A because it is the same corporation and standing as station B, but a much lower tax rate, even lower than station C where I have a much better standing.

Station A has been my home station for a while, and that is why I discovered the tax rate confusion. I do have personal agent standing at station A and none at station B, but that is not supposed to factor into tax rate calculations (but it seems like it does).

Does anyone have an idea what I am missing or what other factor is involved with this discrepancy on Tax Rates?

Petition it (I'd say bug report, but that's still in dev). Looks like there's some bug there somewhere.
The % yields are different too, which should not be possible if that was the same pilot.

Exact same pilot, exact same stack of Veldspar carried to each station.

* edited last post to inform that the oddly low tax rate station is my home where I have personal agent standing.

Yeah....I can't find anything having to do with the level of the Agent affecting anything either.

Definitely Petition and let us know as this is interesting.

One last thought:

Purge your cache. Your displayed standings may be out of synch. Was waiting out updating Corp Standings towards Faction for Tower Anchoring once. Got to day 9 and nothing......till I purged my cache.
