Interest Check: Alliance for smaller indy corps

Hello Capsuleers,

Now a few of us weary players choose to play alone whether it be mining, forming your own corp for moon mining or POS reactions, but I was curious at the idea of forming an alliance in which this niche of players could get a lot and work together to increase profits, help in time of need, and to generally form a nice community to get online and kill time while anchoring structures or mining.

Is there an interest in this sort of undertaking withing the industrial community in EVE? If not, is there already a similar casual alliance founded?Lol

Good luck out there and may the profit flow freely.

there may be some alliances that do this already...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I'd be interested.
my corp is currently very small(solo corp with three accounts)

my old null sec corp kinda fell apart after the sov changes, And we had a baby which kept me from getting online enough to not bother looking for a new corp yet. It would be nice to join an alliance even if just to have others to talk to while I am on-line.

Two benefits I can see to having a bunch of small indy corps sharing a alliance even if they do not play together is the social benefits of making friends in game and having people to talk to, and the at the same time it gives some basic protection from getting war deced in high sec as it costs way more to war you if you are in an alliance.

Besides I think it would only be a matter of time before solo multi account indy players sharing a alliance chat channel would start working together and start acting like a real alliance.

It would be a lot easier to get help when you need it ,asking your friends in alliance chat even if they are all basically solo players.

I am certainly not apposed to getting back into null in a good corp, but right now I just do not get on enough to benefit from living in null. Besides FC's do not like it when fleet members go afk without notice because their kids are crying.

So for now I am in a solo corp with no tax plugging away in high sec making a little isk and gaining SP until I have enough time to get back into null. this toon is the CEO of my corp but is not one of my skilled toons. Most of my unskilled alts just sit in trade the hubs to be used for price checks. I have two over 20 mil SP and a third over 10 mil SP.

An alliance made up of other solo players like me or other small indy corps, I think would bring back a little of the social side of the game that I miss so much.

I think you will find that there are quite a few casual highsec industrial alliances out there.

This is really the goal I was looking for. Get a few players together with common interest to form a close group of friends and offer advice.

I've been in a few of the 'indy alliances' in hi-sec, and its never turned into much of a team thing.

For one, I'd be glad to join such an organization, but there would definitely have to be some good benefits to it; like 1, Chatter in alliance, 2, alliance ops, market, cooperation and C, some more people to fly around with and not just a bunch of people ship-spinning. going for their own agendas and generally ignoring the rest of the alliance.

Keeping an eye on Alliance Recruiting in the forums, but have been pretty disappointed thus far.

Fly safe out there, and if anyone have any good organizations, feel free to let me know.

Cheers!

I'd be willing to turn this thread into a brainstorming session to formining such an Alliance. Your experience (as the poster above mentioned) and ways to fix such problems.

I for one run reactions in a C1 WH with a POS of my own. That pretty much is auto pilot leaving me free to assist any sister corporations and run ops. I also have 60MIL SP in mostly indy which would enable me to help other members out.

Please, let the brainstorming begin.

I like the idea, but the devil is always in the details. 1 bill to start one up, 2 mill a week to keep it going? Then, you are basically just making yourself a juicy target for high-sec corp wardecs. Then what do we get out of it?

Again, I like the idea, but most of us are solo for a reason. Ugh The game is set up for conflict and lets face it, we are not into conflict. Hurts profits too much Smile

Easier to just start a chat room?

Chat room sounds like a perfect and reasonable solution.

I am in the middle of GMing a table top campaign so once I finish this I will get it set up.

Please join the TFTU channel, This stands for the The Federation Trade Union.

This will be a chat channel for smaller indy corporations or any other corporations looking to get involved. My eventual goal is to turn this into an alliance using the funding from POS Reactions and Mining.

We, as industrial characters, are the backbone of the EVE economy. I am hoping to involve an element of roleplay as well. I will be on the channel, but mind you I am currently GMing a table top roleplay game right now so I may not immediately respond.

I am looking forward to meeting and talking with all of you. Big smile

I am currently at Empire 3, working towards Sov 4 or 5. Right now, I am exactly 30 days from Sov 3, 24 of which is in Empire Control 5, so If you need someone who has the skills for the corp/alliance creation, Id be happy to help at that point in time. Im looking to train into an Orca and eventually a Rorqual if I get a chance out in Null sec.

This is a great idea. The last corp I was in would not give out access to blueprints or manufacturing facilities so I left and went solo with my own POS. I would join an alliance that allowed single player corporations....

I am very pleased with the turn out on the chat channel TFTU.

I am looking forward to sharing trade secrets and get some mutual business relations started. An unofficial alliance of sorts, it would definitely be beneficial to those of us that are running solo operations. Should war-dec pop up, I'll hop in my T3 and help you all out.

Good luck!
