All very true.

However a good NFL coach/leader cannot physically make his team run faster or hit harder than they have the ability to do. What he can do is ensure that they use their abilities to the maximum effectiveness they are capable of.

But then, NFL players do not have supercomputers in their brain or are encased by several million metric tons of steel, titanium and advanced machinery. Some would look better if they were, but who wants to tell them that?

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Are you that incapable of determining which engagements to fight in and which to take flight? A good FC knows when he is outgunned, he will either YOLO the fleet and hope that they can win the ISK war through superior tactics (curt nod to BL., PIZZA) or he will fall back and blueball the enemy fleet, denying them of their fun.

CCP has already made it clear that there is a lot of coding issues with removing OGB and that they are working on it. HTFU and find FCs you can rely on to make smart choices.

You missed the point. Boosts do nothing but make a probable outcome more certain. In short any FC facing superior numbers must factor in those numbers vs his own and then multiple them by the probable boost %. Only logical conclusion is your going to get owned unless you leave or bring more people. That's assuming you're not fighting idiots of course. Its a stupid mechanic that reduces incentive to engage superior numbers. Its anti-pvp.

In short, do you prefer numbers + character skills or do you prefer player skills? I'd always choose player skills, even though I've been playing this game for >5 years now... I think it would also make it a lot more appealing to new(er) pilots, since the gap between newbie fleets and non-newbie fleets wouldn't be so big...
