Absolutely nothing new about that one - Check the build date: 2011.
Pretty much every low-rent ganker I know uses some variation on that build.

Confirming that a "bunch of cloaky friends" would want to hang around in T2/T3 ships watching you mine for hours on end waiting for a possible gank.

Actually I did see a guy do this in a thrasher. He was supposed to be providing security for the "mining op." Then I saw a catalyst slowboat to a Retriever, lock, kill and pod said pilot. The Thrasher pilot started firing just before the retty's pod exploded. I ask him what happened: he was watching YouTube.

Yes, I too would love to sit in a belt all day just in case something may or may not happen. I'd probably get back from watching pr0n and still be cloaked around a mass of smoking miner hulls. Oh well, such is life.

Shouldn't be hard OR tedious to set a trap if you suspect guards, I would think... Even if you don't suspect guards, the rare event when it pays off ought to be worth a giggle or three.

There is no sweeter victory than turning botting miners into the sort of calculating, real EVE players that set traps with cloaky alts. This is why the New Order exists.

If someone does that to me, I'll congratulate them on a good fight and a well earned victory. Then I'll wait out my 15 min GCC and go blow up a bot.
