I've got 3 monitors and I manage because they aren't VESA compatible and VESA mounts are fairly expensive
2x 24 1080P and somehow a 1440x900 19" I use for internets when running 2 clients

we had pictures hanging on strings pretty much in the same way these 15 floating monitor setup works.
after maby 5 years, all them nylon strings gave way and the pictures crashed down in some sort of chain reaction.

the pictures wheren very large, and the frames where just acyle glass, and not very heavy. the nylon cord was 2mm iirc (its been a while) and rather oversized.

tl:dr:
this 15 monitor floating setup proably is a bad idea.

Rhivre you melt my heart

Rainfleet mkIII will be 4x Retina LCDs in landscape, with 2 non-overlapping clients on each. 2048x1536 = 2x clients each @ 1024x1536. (I favor portrait mode, due to overview and other menus being more of a vertical aspect ratio).

Ati and Eyefinity has a function called Hydra, that allows programs to be fullscreened to a portion of a display (eliminating the border and title bars of program windows).

leaving me 2 monitors free for non-eve stuff on my Radeon HD 7970s in Crossfire (they have 6 outputs each--2x DVI, 4x Displayport).

this is the latest shot, I don't have all the parts in yet for the full setup, it's quite one-off and custom. :-) http://i.imgur.com/p0PNt5x.jpg

each LCD is also capable of 4 non-overlapping clients like so: http://i.imgur.com/ZYFdVoD.jpg

and to give you an idea what the pixel square footage is like: http://www.mediafire.com/view/8e3vfuzg1v30chv/grid2.jpg <-that's two LCDs

my further recommendation is don't arrange the monitors in a grid. I've found that having clients in a line from left->right makes scanning easier (sweeping with the eyes versus playing eyeball hopscotch).

2560x1440 is a thing in the $300.00 range http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-QX2710-Evolution-LED-Monitor/dp/B00BUI44US/ref=pd_cp_pc_2

2560x1600 is a thing for about twice as much http://www.amazon.com/Crossover-30Q5-2560x1600-LG-IPS-Monitor/dp/B009Z4B5JM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_4

Did you only decide on these monitors because of the small bezel? I am looking for a new dual set up and have been exploring my options. How is the input lag on these?

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.
