To me kind of feels like EVE keeps getting cheated on with different mistresses who tantalise and give a quick bit of excitement before leaving or screwing you over.

Dust, Valkyrie wonder how many more offshoots there will be before I can open a door in the CQ, or see team avatars exploration prototype in action, or a host of bug fixes, features and ideas that were promised for EVE actually being finished or delivered.

Hey, Dork-oran, you look dumb as FOops too. I know. I know. You're probably a PhD in some kind of way-out physics, and can do math faster than a scientific calculator, and all that. But your mug. Man, you just look dumb.

I think that was just the rogue drones. Or sometimes the drones You abandon in panic when some ibis jumps into your ice mining system.

Eerie little buggers. Getting clever like that just because mummy abandoned them in a belt.

I've been reading through some of these posts. And you know what? I figure that Valkyrie is not going to be tied to TQ servers. The reason being TiDi. TiDi would kill the fast paced, game that should be Valkyrie. And even if CCP upgraded their servers to insanely bleeding edge-hyper-hardware, TiDi will still be a factor that would work against integrating the games...

As currently the Oculus Rift only supports the PC plattform and CCP is it's own publisher and has it's own launcher software, I see no way how EVE-VR may not be for the PC or linked to some craptastic stuff like origin.

Wrong, there are modders out there using the Oculus Rift attached to cell phones & running games.

The best solution for this game to be a HUGE SUCCESS is to make it a mobile platform based game.

The mobile gaming sector of business is going at an exponentially rate & CCP would be dumb not to jump on the bandwagon.

I love PC gaming & will always be a PC gamer at heart, but it is stalled & don't let anyone say different.

CCP could tie Eve: Valkyrie into the Eve Online, by letting you use your Eve Online character while playing on Eve:Valkyrie. When you are not at home on your PC, grab your cell phone or tablet, plug in the Oculus Rift & battle your friends on Eve: Valkyrie.

This game is designed for this. It will not be a complex game like Eve Online or even Dust 514. It is a game designed to get you into instant battle & the thrill of dog fighting in space with your friends from around the world . It will be limited to less than a dozen players in one arena at once.

That's the fastest way of killing the game before it has even been released.

if You really want to link your mobile phone to the OC, by all means, do so. But please, stay away from anything that's not inside your own house.

CCP could release Angry Miners, a game were you shoot ayour own mining barge via a big slingshot maneuver around the sun into a bunch of entrenched evil goons... for great justice. I'd play it, on my mobile phone but i'd never use the OC system for it. Mainly because A) I wouldn't need it for such a game and B) power consumption.

EDIT: I'd even pay half a dollar for Angry Miners. Seriously the more I think about it, the more I like it. CCP could You, please?

Loving my PC would stretch my personal preferences a little bit to far, forniphilia is not one of my fetishes. But, the PC is the one plattform that offers me the greatest freedom and possiblities. So yes, I'm a PC gamer, too. And I predict and at the same time claim, that EVE-VR will never and should never be available for mobile gaming plattforms.

No.
The long explanation would be: It's to ******** to exist. Nobody would use it that way and it's just plain ridiculous.
And to further emphasis my point: NO!

I don't even know where to start.

Firstly, Oculus Rift is being designed ONLY for PC. Modders don't really come into it at this point. No games company who already has at least the sense required to build a successful game (read a game that anyone has heard of), would make the mistake of creating a game for the Oculus Rift for a platform that Oculus Rift does not support. It would be like designing music to sound incredible with some new headphone tech for a Raspberry Pi.

As for game being a huge success on mobile platforms. Not this kind of game. Serious games get made for serious platforms. This is not AngryBirds in space.

I gave my opinion on where I thought this game should go forward.

All you do is show hate, hate, & hate. Will you show us where the bad man touched you at.

You are a really angry person and you must still live with your parents in the basement.

Grow up & get a real life or do yourself a favor -->go back to World of Warcraft. :P

Arduemont, why you think that a game that started as a tech demo and it's gonna be developed, tested and launched in a bit more than a year, is gonna be complex enough to be deemed "serious"?

Had a look at the writeups. Very unlikely to be on TQ I think, at least initially. Not sure whether I'm pleased or upset tbh.

On one hand TQ integration would be absolutely awesome if done right.

On the other hand, it would almost certainly NOT be done right in the described time frame. So probably a good balance to be in the EVE universe but not integrated with TQ in the first instance. Maybe later if it's popular?

This game gives us a great third play style which happens to be launching on a VR headset which is obviously great for marketing.

I see no reason why there couldn't be a lesser version on tablets and phones for a quick-fix. I'm certain that these will not use the VR headset unless there is specific support for it by the likes of Apple, Microsoft or Samsung.

I still fully expect EVE universe versions of SIM City and Myst, even the SIMS, but none of these will be part of TQ.

I really hope they allow us to use our same characters in these different versions of EVE.

What with people that have only one eye? I could see this game on the monitor of some kind? Trailer was not played on oculus rift, it was conventional one screen video...
