Mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, 20th August, at 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, August 20th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).

What exactly is being tested?
  • Test client and server performance in Odyssey 1.1

How to connect to Singularity for this test:

Test steps:

  • Meet in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
  • Jump to X-BV98
  • Warp to a POS
  • Shoot the control tower
  • Jump to Poitot (first only capitals, then other ships)
  • Fleet W: Jump back to X-BV98 and prepare a gate camp
  • Fleet X: Jump into the gate camp, fight
  • Warp to planet 1 and shoot some NPCs


What else should I know?
  • We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme
  • Please bring many different ships, we will provide cynos for capitals
  • Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

Cool, on my first day of the semester, Hopefully I can attend, also 1st.

I'll probably login during class Twisted Seems Masstest starts in the middle of my last course. Not like it's the first day or anything.P

Question: How does one manage to get free SP or not lose 2mil (as this counts as one of the last 5 MT's the SP is taken from for the next mirror) if they are unable to get the server to update/work?

Will the Mac client be in better shape by then? Its hard to impossible to use it right now.

Would love to join in and help out with the testing!! Unfortunately a lot of us can not join at this time. I will not ask for a mirror but would love to see some of the accounts reactivated that have requested it in the reactivation thread beforehand. Either way, good luck with the testing and hope to see you there!!

I love these 1700 UTC mass tests. Gives me a great excuse to drive home at 100mph so I can log in on time.
