Oops, reserved this to be top of the page. Better say something. Did another POS Bash, unopposed again, bit of skirmishing. All active corp members have been issued with a medal "The Burn Huola Campaign Cross" check out the decorations tab on my character sheet. The corp had a fireworks party in a small plex in Huola to celebrate.

I did a bit of FCing during the campaign and I've been receiving a number of gifts from various people / corps / alliances. which include:

. A Faction fit, T2 Rigged Rattlesnake
. A Faction fit, T2 Rigged Gila
. A Phantasm
. A Garmur
. 200M Isk
. Another Medal - 'This man is a Machine'

To all of you, thanks so much. o7

Wednesday 30th July 2014

I logged on today expecting it to be pretty quiet. The Burn Huola event is clearly over, and for a week or so there was evidence of burn out on both sides. However, today both militias seem to have been rejunvanised and a lot more people were online than I expected. I for one was buzzing for some 'content'.

CVA have joined the Amarr Militia and have a large POS in Huola. It has been there for some weeks, possibly went up at the same time as the other Amarr POSs at the start of the Burn Huola event. Which would have made 11 hostile POS if they had got their standings sorted out in time to participate. Of those 11, 3 have been destroyed and 3 have been taken down by their owners. The focus recently though has been on recapturing Roushzar which makes a better forward staging post for the Amarr than the POSs do. I say that with tongue in cheek, because it is clear that the Amarr aren't using Roushzar for that reason and the response to take Roushzar by the Minmatar has been poor to say the least. I put my hand up as one of the pilot who just couldn't be bothered, so I can't say anything.

Anyway I logon to find Huola 0.7% contested (1 plex). I undock for a look around the plexs and almost wet myself in mirth. CVA have decide to... well I don't know what. They have a cruiser fleet in the large consisting of 3 Augorors and 6 or 8 other cruisers, mostly Omens and one Zealot. A cruiser and a dessie in the Medium. I mean seriously are they trying to continue Burn Huola?

I was in a Breacher and I was considering going for the medium when it shut down. 1.4% contested. So I go to the small instead. Presently a WT Tormentor rocks up and comes into me. Kill and pod him. Next a neutral Kestrel, he manages to get his pod out. Then about half a dozen Biohazard frigates arrive. I'm feeling cocky by now and decide to take them on, we all know how that ends.

So I pod back to station and join the corp fleet and start getting organised. Biohazard leave system and we get into Armored cruiser about 9 of us and attack the large. We kill the Zealot and 3 or 4 omen and the rest run. We switch back to Armor Dessies as a Fweddit gang of about 15 come into local and get into the small. Again we attack, kill several and the rest bail.

CVA then roll up again in the large in a similar comp as before. This seems suspicious so we leave them for a bit. Fweddit return and a bigger punch up in the small occurs, we lose an Inquisitor and an Algos, but slaughter them in return.

We close the small and then pop and get into a medium now in grab bag frigates. The CVA gang warp to us, come in and we bale to the large and kill the Stiletto they had left there. They return to the large, we reship into cruisers, they run away.

So we spread out running various plexes in neighbouring systems, with some people going to Roushzar, some to Kourm and Lamaa. I go to Roushzar and then a 20 man WT gang come into system, a mixed bag of corps including some CVA. They are mostly in Dessies with no logi. We return to Huola, reship into Armor Dessies with logi and return, by this stage we are around 15 strong. The WTs are in the medium, we get into the small and set up. They come to the gate but then think better of it. After a while they warp back to the med, we warp from inside the plex to the same med, land on top of them outside the plex. Confusion reigns among them, some activate, some stand and fight, we take down a Caracal and several dessies without loss, the rest bale and leave system.

We go back to running the plexes in Roushzar, a lot of us are in the large when a single WT Caracal warps into us at zero, he clearly didn't get the memo and dies horribly.

Out of plexes in Roushzar we move across to Kourm and Lamaa and another series of skirmishes and ganks occur. I lose a firetail taking on a WT Vexor and Caracal with about 6 other frigates, but both WTs go down. We get Kourm to stable and I log with Roushzar at 85% contested. The US TZ take over and finally flip the system some hours later. \o/

It was all very relaxed fun stuff, but doing a count up later I find I ended the night 35 kills for 2 losses. After the intensity of Burn Huola, this was a walk in the park.

Thursday 31st July 2014

I start the night in a large plex in Huola, system is stable, but I was attracted by some neutrals who then baled and I was hanging on hoping they would return. A neutral does arrive at range, but it's a Garmur. Before I can get out, he has tackle on me at over 50Kms. I call for help and a friendly Slicer arrives. Neither of us can get close to the Garmur but he can't kill either of us. We can't both shake off his tackle and get out at the same time, repeatedly one of us gets out only to hear the other is now tackled so we return, rinse and repeat. Eventually we get out, but I'm a little irritated by the process. I fit up a Firetail, specifically to take on the Garmur and warp back. However, as I land I notice that the pilot isn't in system anymore. So I decide just to orbit the button in the hope that he will come back.

I'm not paying attention as I was looking at the corp interface processing a couple of new applications, when I hear the locking alarm go off. I shut down the corp window expecting to see the Garmur at range, but instead I find I'm hard tackled by a Tristan at 3000m. This is not good, scrammed and webbed and then an Ishkur joins the Tristan. The same pair that I'd initially come into the plex to engage. I manage to burn down the Tristan, but then die to the Ishkur.

So now I'm irritated and decide I can be a f*ggot too. Pod back to station and jump in my own Garmur, first time I've taken it into combat. I land at range and tackle the Ishkur, but a second Ishkur arrives and an Algos. I switch fire to the Algos and kill it, all the time keeping tackle on the first Ishkur. SERFIOS in a Vexor responds to my calls for help, but then an incursus joins our enemies, we burn that down first then switch to the Ishkur. But it tanks like a boss and they kill SERFIOS. I stay orbiting the two of them keeping tackle on and calling in corp for help. Although there are at least 15 people in corp chat, nobody seems to be there. But at least I managed to be a real good f*ggot. Eventually, people do respond and 2 or 3 friendlies warp in and we finally kill both Ishkurs. Really they should have just accepted the loss and abandoned the one that was tackled, but we've all been in that situation. The tanky Ishkur was dual rep and had a blingy small repper in addition to an Ancillary one, but it didn't drop.

Lory was running an advertised op that night. He'd come up with a new comp involving Fleet Scythes, which are dirt cheap at the moment even if you haven't got 8.6M LP like me (I don't know what to do with it). However, he was late on and Dev took over for a bit. We roamed around, repeatedly to Uusanen where Biohazard were trying to bash a friendly POS that had just come out of reinforced mode. We ganked down the CEO of Biohazard in a Navy Vexor, but the rest ran.

Lory came on and took over. I got the role of forward scout. We roamed into Kurniainen where I over baited a fight with a Caracal and two Succubus and nearly lost my Fleet Scythe. Thankfully, the Caracal was rapid LM fit and went into the reload cycle just as I was about to go into armor. I survived long enough for reps to arrive and we killed the Caracal and one Succubus. We moved on and I went ahead into Aset and found a Shadow Cartel Tengu on the Flosewin gate. A friendly Stiletto was with me, he jumped to Flosewin and confirmed it was clear. I tackled and called for one repper to join me, then a second repper, then the whole fleet. Why the guy didn't jump and try to get away before the fleet arrived is beyond me, he must have seen local spike. The fleet landed and 5 of us aggressed. Finally he jumped, the rest of the fleet jumped and caught him on the other side. He burned back and jumped again. Once again we caught him and this time he tried to burn out. We ganked him down and got a 3.5B Kill. More than 2B dropped too. This obviously was scooped and our roam turned into a mission just to get this loot to safety.

Scouts reported an incoming Shadow Cartel gang. They were in grab bag bling. Machariels, Legions, Proteus, Navy BS etc. Obviously coming for our blood. We ran like girls all the way back to Huola and logged.

Ended the night 19 kills for 1 loss. Ended the month 1139 kills for 89 losses. This was almost double my previous best month during the Arzad Campaign in May 2013 where I killed 576 for 68. Interestingly though. The Arzad month remains significantly better in terms of Isk values. Arzad saw me getting on kills worth 41B compared to 2.07B in losses. The Burn Huola month saw me get on kills worth 33B (10% of that was the SC Tengu) for 2.08B in losses . I think this was due to a higher proportion of the Burn Huola fights taking place in Small and Novice plexes and the general flood with cheap T1 reships policy of the Amarr.

Saturday 2nd / Sunday 3rd August 2014

A low key, small skirmish gang weekend was had. I'd log for an hour or so at a time and join the roving gang and we had some good little fights. Ended the weekend 41 kills which included a half Billion Isk Gila, a Prophecy and a Fleet Scythe. All for the loss of 4 Breachers.

Wednesday 6th August 2014.

Started the night Deplexing Kourm, it was at about 6% contested, so no pressure, we were just decontesting waiting for pew to happen. I opened a fleet and initially only 2 or 3 joined, but an hour later we were around 15 strong. We were mostly in frigates, myself in a Breacher. Pew did indeed happen, a constant stream of small gang and individuals both neutrals and WTs. A couple of larger roaming gangs came through. PL were about in AFs for a change, but as usual they were only interested in baiting for a gank, not actually fighting. The moment you engaged, local spiked by 20, I think we lost a Tristan.

Some significant challenging fights happened, made challenging because in the main we stayed in frigates and engaged larger stuff. We engaged a 10 man WT gang on the Kourm gate in Kamela which they escalated to BCs and saw us take down some blingy stuff before we had to bale. In various engagements we took down 2 Sabres, a Heretic, several Faction Cruisers, a Vagabond and a Cyclone as well as some cheaper stuff.

Towards the end of the night we got two nice skirmishes, first against a WT gang of 3 Caracals and a Jaguar in a medium plex, which saw us destroy them all for the loss of 3 T1 Frigates and a Firetail. Then as we returned to Huola a CVA Prophecy was engaged on the Kourm gate. As soon as we took the fight, 3 more landed and they were spider tanking. We had a couple of cruisers on field, I told them to get off while the T1 frigate held tackle and a proper response was organized. I never actually gave any orders as to what to bring, but the boys just reacted automatically, it was a joy to see. Someone reshipped into a Falcon, another into a neuting Armaggedon. Boosts were moved from Kourm into Huola and once they were up, I ordered people to return in their dps and specialised stuff. In total we lost 4 T1 Frigates, a Firetail and a Talwar, but all four Prophecies went down and of course we scooped all the loot.

The night was over and I dropped fleet, did a bit of admin and was about to log when I noticed a WT in local. I was sat in station in a Comet and just undocked and scanned the plexes. As I was doing this the WT undocked in an Omen.

I typed in what I thought was corp chat for help, but I typed in our Public channel instead and nobody responded. However, I murdered him, he couldn't hit me and never even launched his T1 drones. So I got a satisfying Omen solo kill in a frigate.

Curious thing was he was 3 years 5 month old and had joined the Amarr Militia when he was 1 month old. I think he must have quit Eve and just resubbed that night to find himself docked in a hostile station. Lol.

Ended the night 24 kills for 1 loss (Breacher).

Sat 9th/Sun 10th August 2014

Such a fun weekend. No specific major fights, just loads of skirmishes and variation.

Since Burn Huola the Amarr have surprisingly managed to keep up heavy pressure on other systems in the warzone and quite a few systems have flipped to them over the last couple of weeks. We are now down to 40 systems out of 69 and have dropped to Tier 3. Personally, I consider this a good thing, it is good for PvP and it is good for the price of our FW goods. Provided you sit on them until the Amarr dominate the warzone, which I do. However there has been a recent hiccup in that Winmatar disbanded and Biohazard have apparantly left the Amarr Militia and gone to Syndicate. I'm hoping the Amarr can continue their slow recovery without them.

I checked out the Biohazard POS, one of three (out of ten) still left over from Burn Huola event. It had gone and I found a handful of unmanned noobships, shuttles and a Bestower floating where it had been. The Bestower is now in my hanger, the rest I killed, but only one showed up on the killboard.

Hauled and sold 8B worth of blingy loot to Jita on behalf of the corp. While there I bought myself my first Macharial. It cost 630M, down from close to a billion a few months ago. I'm not really a BS player, so I'll probably not use it, but it looks good. I did fly it back to Houla on my alt and hand it over to Trant. Finished fitting it up and undocked it briefly to set up the hot keys, but stayed on the undock with all the boosts just in case. lol.

Ended the Weekend 47 kills for 4 losses.

Tuesday 12th August 2014

Logged on to find Kourmonen being plexed by an Amarr gang, about 10-12 strong. However, it was unclear whether they were all together and there was at least one neutral Vigilant working with them too. There were a dozen or more other neutrals in local including 2 or 3 Shadow Cartel people.

I formed a fleet and 3 or 4 people joined. While a couple were keen to engage the Kourm lot, I didn't think it was feasible especially as the only plexes up at the time were a Medium and 2 Larges which the Vigilant could get into. There were too many neutral gangs around to risk excessive bling of our own. Intel reports were just too muddy to be able to make a plan. I must have sounded like a real p*ssy to my fleetmates refusing to take the fight. I offered them the option of taking FC but nobody would.

I moved to Roushzar instead and started running a plex in my Breacher. A Worm came in and I baled. I called for help and came back to the plex gate, but the Worm had left. More people had joined fleet, I decided to return to Kourm but as I landed on the Huola gate I found myself jumping with the Worm. The Worm warped to a Novice in Huola and several of us caught him and ganked him down. 473M kill, but only 18M dropped.

I warped down to the Kourm gate just as a report came in that the Vigilant was all alone in one of the Large plexes. I jumped and warped to the nearest Large and landed 50 off a group of about 8 WTs in Frigs and Dessie. However, at the same time a Smile and Wave Cyclone warped in followed by a friendly Slicer. The Amarr baled. I warped to the other large and landed 20Km from the Vigilant and got tackle on, just as a friendly Vagabond landed and called scram. Other friendlies arrived including the Cyclone and we ganked the Vigilant down. 613M kill, 82M dropped.

Some of the Amarr had left system. We spread around the plexes which included a new small that had spawned. There was some skirmishing and we killed a couple of Corax and an SC Tristan.

Dev was running an advertised Vexor Navy Issue roam that night kicking off at 1900 Eve time. At the appointed time he announced on comms that he was forming a fresh fleet and if people wanted to join, move to another TS Channel.

All but 4 of the original fleet left. I was keen to get Kourm under control now that we had free run at the plexes and was in a Novice by then with just 4 minutes left on the clock. The novice closed and we balled up in the medium as neutrals pushed up out of both larges and a WT gang of 4 Cormorants returned. The Cormorants landed outside. I told the guys we would take the fight, even though we were in frigates, on the assumption that they would be glass cannon long range fits.

A neutral gang of 6-8 Algos' landed on the plex gate, pushed in the Cormorants and then followed. I didn't see the Algos' until they got inside and had committed to the fight. We lost 3 Frigates, while at least 2 Cormorants went down.

I podded back to Huola and found Dev's Vexor NI gang in the process of murdering another neutral gang on the Huola gate in Kourm. This time I reshipped into a Vexor NI and joined his fleet. By then the fight was over and the fleet had moved to Auga gate in Kourm and started camping it.

We caught several ships which included a Slicer, Dramiel, Primae, Enyo and command link fitted Claymore (and pod). Then a report came in that a PL Marauder was being ganked by a neutral cruiser gang in Amamake. We chased over intended to help finish the Marauder and then turn on the neutrals. But the Marauder was down before we arrived and the neutrals docked up.

We returned to our gate camp, but then reports came in from a scout we had left behind regarding the neutrals. They were undocking and going to Gulmorogod. We chased after them again and ended up following all the way to Akkio, 6 jumps from Amamake. Eventually we landed on the Akkio gate in Todifrauan, knowing they were set up on the otherside.

However, the chase had taken it's toll, we had struggled to keep up always several jumps behind them. They had already refused to take the fight with us once and at one point our scout had lost them. A couple of people in fleet decided to take that moment to drop fleet and return home.

We were left with 21 in fleet. 3 Augoror logi, an Ashimmu, a Pilgrim and a mixed bag of DPS which included 6 Vexor NIs and two Intercepters. We had started with 4 logi, but one had recently baled from fleet. We had also recently lost the guy who was going to target call. Dev prefers someone else to target call as he concentrates on other aspects. So at the last second he asked me to target call.

The enemy were at least 23 Strong with 4 Augorors, an Exequror, a Celestis, 2 Rapiers, an Arazu and another mixed bag of Cruiser DPS, some of which was blingy. But only one fast tackle in the form of a Harpy.

We jumped and held cloak, their logi was at range. I called primary on one of the Rapiers and the other as secondary. Just as the first one went down we lost our first Augoror. They dropped two Carriers, a Thanatos and an Archon. We killed the second Rapier as our second Augoror went down, then called bale, just as tackle landed on me. I recalled my drones and then helpfully was ECM'd out which saved me a few seconds as I hadn't switched down my guns (2 small Autocannons). I burned in for the gate, about 10 Kms I had to go. Someone bumped me, but I still made it with 20 seconds of aggression left. The DPS switched to me but it wasn't as melting as I expected. My shields took 4 or 5 seconds to be removed, then my armor damage climbed only very slowly. At half armor I jumped and docked up in Todifrauan.

We checked the killmails. We had lost 2 Vexor NIs, an SFI and 2 Augorors, total value according to the Killboard, 390M. We had killed 2 Rapiers totalling 430M, but wait there was more. One of our intercepters had podded the first Rapier pilot. 1.15B Pod. Total kills 1.57B.

...Continued from previous.

We lost the field, but nearly all the losses were in ships, rigs and implants, again according to the killboard only 70M of loot dropped + a few drones.

We returned to Huola to pick up reships. People were keen to keep going and we returned to the Auga/Kourm gate camp. Hardly had we got there than we read in Militia chat that a 'big' fight was going on in the large plex in Dal. We jumped to Auga and warped to Dal. Scouts reported it wasn't as big as we had been led to believe, but included a couple of BS. We jumped in, warped to the plex and landed to find a friendly Armageddon being ganked by elements of CVA and a neutral Dominix. We killed a Sacrilege and a Vengeance, other WTs warped off, the Armageddon survived. The Dominix at range warped off, but directly to the Sisiede gate. We scooped our drones and the wreaks and went after him. We landed to find the Dominix waiting out his aggression. He jumped, we followed and killed him on the other side.

We returned briefly to our gate camp, killed a WT Thorax and then called it. Ended the night 20 kills for 1 Breacher loss.

Been a hectic few days.

Went over to the Caldari/Gallente warzone on Sunday to assist our Gallente allies in a push of Asakai. Quite an intense set of fights and got on 124 kills over 2 nights for 9 losses.

Returned to Huola on Tuesday, got in a loose skirmish fleet to deplex Huola and Kourm and got in a load of small fights managing around 21 kills for 2 losses. Towards the end of the evening I did a tour of the War Target POSs still in Huola from the Burn Huola event. There are only 2 left from the 10 that went up, + a CVA one that went up at the same time, but CVA didn't actually join the Amarr Militia until Burn Huola was over. One of the POSs, a Medium Amarr POS had run out of fuel. I immediately set in motion a POS bash. About a dozen people were in fleet and it took around two hours, but was bashed from full shields to destruction in that time. No reinforcement timer. 6 POS Mods were left (4 ECM, Web and Warp Disruptor), we started shooting the Webifier, but several of our small fleet left as soon as the POS went down and it was clear it would take ages. I halted it, went and fetched a Hauler and just scooped them in a fraction of the time.

Quick round up, been a very busy week or so. Took a trip down to the Caldari/Gallente warzone to help the Gallente in their en-devours to take the whole warzone.

Over the weekend participated in a RL event! The annual Iron Oxide meetup which has taken place in Kent for the last 3 years.

Came back on Sunday night and traveled back to the Caldari/Gallente warzone to continue the work. 2 systems were left to flip, Heydieles and Ladistier. Neither were heavily fought over, at least not when I was there. Although one significant event occurred on Monday.

I was boosting with my alt in a Claymore, off the Ladistier station when a neutral carrier came out, locked me up, tackled, nossed and then set Fighters on me. After a bit I had to dock up to regen shields, I immediately undocked and restarted my links. He engaged again. I found I could last about 3 or 4 minutes each time before having to redock. A Gallente corp, C.Q.B. were aware of this carrier and they asked me to transfer into their fleet to provide a warp in for their cyno ship. So after a bit, a Megathron warped in and tried to lite his cyno. Then discovered he hadn't brought enough fuel. The FC turned the air blue. The Megathron warped off to RV with an SB which had more fuel. In the meantime I had to dock up and regen my shield, but I came out for about the fifth time and in due course the Carrier aggressed on me again. The Megathron warped in, this time lit the cyno and 5 Moros jumped in. The plexing fleet which included Trant, also warped in and wh*red on, then we caught the pod too. 2.1B carrier, 120M pod.

Other than that, the Caldari had just given up it seemed. Both systems flipped before Tuesday DT and the Gallente still held every system after Wednesday DT. I returned to Huola on Tuesday and skirmished around Kourm and Huola. Nice relaxing stuff, but I'm developing a cold, so logged early.

Lets do a shout out for CVA. \o/

CVA Put up a POS at the start of Burn Huola. That would have made 11 hostile POSs in Houla, but it took CVA three weeks to sort out their standings before they could actually join the Amarr Militia, by then Burn Huola was over.

Once they arrived, they did make a half hearted attempt to continue Burn Huola by themselves bless them. They ran the occassional plex and gave us some nice skirmishes.

Anyway, I regular do a check of the surviving hostile POSs in Huola. Of the 11 POSs, 5 have been destroyed and 4 have been removed by their owners. Last night I found the CVA POS (a large Amarr Deathstar) unfuelled. A Bestower and a shuttle sitting next to the tower.

I stole the Bestower and killed the shuttle. Then tried to pull together a fleet to bash the tower. Initially only about 6 people joined fleet and an advertised fleet was scheduled half an hour later, so we concentrated on the killable modules, which were the hardeners, 13 of them I think, 2 Ship Maintenance Arrays and a Corporate Hanger Array. We started to bash one of the guns, but it just went into incapacitated mode once we got through the armor. I don't understand enough about POSs or why we were able to kill the other modules. But it appears that the ones that sit inside the bubble, do not go into incapacitated mode and can be destroyed while the POS is still up. I don't know if they can be unanchored or scooped. Have to try that next time.

A couple of filled wreaks had appeared from the structures we had destroyed. One had a load of mods and cap booster charges, we quickly scooped them. The second... full of fitted ships. I launched them into space and then we were podding back and forth for ages. Personnally, I liberated 2 Mallers, 2 Augorors, 3 Inquisitors and another Bestower.

85 ships in total, including the two I initially found in space:

Liberated:
3 Augoror
2 Bestower
1 Caracal
8 Coercer
5 Cormorant
3 Dragoon
7 Inquisitor
6 Maller
5 Tristan

Destroyed:
7 Augoror
6 Coercer
5 Cormorant
6 Dragoon
3 Inquisitor
5 Maller
5 Punisher
1 Shuttle
7 Tristan

Most of the ones I got were pretty well fit, thanks dudes.

Went on the advertised roam afterwards. It devolved into a kitchen sink skirmishing fleet and we got loads of small fights. I managed another 12 kills for no loss.

Ended the final day of the month leeroying around and manage 17 kills, which included a Tengu, Legion and Cynabal for 7 losses (6 Breachers and an Algos). I picked up a huge amount of loot too, which included 6 POS modules that had been abandoned at the site of a former POS in Huola.

Ended the month 495 kills for 48 losses, which is actually my 4th best month on record.

Monday 1st September 2014

I have high hopes for this month and it started well. Last night I inadvertently ran a brief campaign to flip Dal. I never meant to. People are getting so fired up about the coming Burn Auga campaign advertised to start on Wednesday, that there was just so much energy to do something early. Taking Dal first, complimented the Burn Auga campaign.

Initially I formed a fleet with no specific purpose other than general skirmishing, which basically means running solo in frigates and dessies, while in fleet and calling people in once a target(s) has been found. We spread out around Devoid looking for Amarr plexers and lightly push various Amarr systems, many of which are highly contested already. In the hunt for targets, I found myself pushing ever further out, towards Arzad and then passed on through Vard, Dal, Auga and Sisiede.

Sisiede had a load of WTs in and Blackbeard from LNA running his own small fleet trying to bait a fight in a Sisiede plex. He gets his fight, but they are too much for his guys to handle and they have to bale. Seeing me in local, he asks for support. We combine fleets and form up in Dal, I move my boosting alt in a Loki over to Dal.

Dal was at 89% contested when we started. So we run the plex stack and then move back to Sisiede and run a couple of plexes there. The Amarr respond and we get a small fight on the Large plex where we kill a Rapier and 2 Slicers.

By now we've formed the idea that we are going to take Dal and go back there to run the next plex stack when it spawns. This time we get a fight with a neutral gang on the large plex and kill several frigates and AFs. Back in Sisiede we nail an Ashimmu and Tormentor. Then come back to Dal for the 3rd plex stack. It is pretty obvious by now what we are up to, but the most significant Amarr fleet move into Vard. So we go there for the next lull and meet them on the Vard/Dal gate where we kill a few more Frigates and AFs.

We start running the forth plex stack in Dal. There are some solo neutrals trying to interfer and pick people off on the gates. One is in a Daredevil. After chasing him off, he warps to a station. It just so happens that I've got my boosting alt on this station. The Daredevil lands and just sits there 23kms away from my booster. After about 5 minutes I realise the guy has done the warp, dock and go AFK thing, where the ship doesn't actually dock (Titter). I warp Trant over in my Breacher and kill the Daredevil. The guy must have come back just in time or he'd logged, because the pod warped off instantly. 112M kill, unfortunately shared with an NPC and Gordin Brott who had engaged him earlier. The KM shows me doing 54.73% but I swear he had no damage when I first targetted him and that was consistent with his repper based tank. His shields had simply regenned by the time I engaged him.

The forth plex stack was just enough to turn Dal vulnerable. Blackbeard wanted to run another stack to give us a buffer before starting the bunker bash, but it was late for the Euro guys and I convince him to go straight for the bash. We drop our plexing ships off in Lantorn and noobshiped back to Huola for ABCs / SBs

Four people were supposed to be covering the next Novice plex that spawned to give us the buffer we needed. But only two young pilots who don't like using their mikes actually got into the plex. The Amarr turn up and kill them and then run back the plex. We have to reship and take the small, then got a fight with 3 Goons in the medium, they are in Stabbers and a Thorax. We kill all 3 podding one. Then reship and finally bash down the bunker. Slight hiccup, but Op success.

Ended a very enjoyable night on 14 kills for no loss.

Tuesday 16th September 2014

The CVA Large Amarr POS in Huola ran out of fuel a couple of weeks ago. However, it still had 60 odd POS mods anchored around it and all it would have taken was for someone to drop fuel in it, add some hardeners and a hostile Deathstar would have been up and running again.

I've been looking at it regularly for signs of them taking it down, but nothing. So finally ran an op to destroy it tonight. Got a good turnout, around 30 in fleet and it took about 100 minutes. I managed top damage, just under 5M HP with an Oracle shooting regular T1 Multifrequency crystals.

That leaves just one large Amarr POS left over from the Burn Huola event. It has remained fuelled throughout, but this last week or so, they have finally been pulling out their ships one by one. From 55 ships a month ago to just 15 now, all T1 Dessies and Frigs.

Shortly after the final battle of Burn Huola (early hours of 22nd July). I was contacted by an Amarrian Militia 'Journalist' for my views on the Burn Huola campaign. I was cautious at the time and some of his questions had tactical significance such as when were the highs and lows in Minmatar moral and why? I declined to give an interview stating "While the Amarr POSs remain in Huola and stay fuelled, the Minmatar Militia still consider the Burn Huola event ongoing. Thus I will not give an interview prior to Tuesday 30th July".

That last sentence was significant, I was suspicious of a trick on the part of the Amarr, but felt that if they hadn't renewed their assault by then we could conclude that the event really was over. Of course by then we would have made in-roads into removing the POSs. Indeed we had destroyed 3 and another 3 had been removed by their owners by that date.

However, the 'Journalist' couldn't wait that long and posted his article with what he had gleaned from other sources. But he choose to post my comment, omitting that last sentence. Implying I think, quite delibrately, that the Minmatar were scared of a renewal of hostilities.

I think the owner of the final Amarr POS in Huola has taken that implication too literally and has been pumping fuel into it for the last 56 days, thinking he is somehow effecting or demoralising Minmatar militia members. I estimate it has taken around 53760 Amarr Fuel blocks costing almost 1B Isk to keep that POS running (since Burn Huola ended on 22nd July). Without considering the effort involved. All to keep safe 4 Dessies and 11 Frigates or there abouts, probably worth less than 100M in total.

GJ dude, keep it up.

Ended the night 7 kills (including the CVA POS and one POS module) for no loss. I personally scooped 28 of the POS Mods worth around 80M, with the rest being picked up by other Militia members. Despite the boredom of a structure bash, I had a very satisfying night.

Wednesday 17th / Thursday 18th Sept 2014

We have had some really good fleets running this week. On Wednesday, Lory took out a Sac/Guard roam, I took a Guard. We went straight to Kurniainen looking for SCUM. who have been flexing their muscles of late and have a reputation for bringing it.

Scouts jump in and find them on the other side of the gate waiting in a blingy gang consisting of at least 1 Tempest, 4 T3s and 5 or 6 Guards. We outnumber them generally with 12 Sacs, 2 Ishtars, Munnin, Falcon, Blackbird, a Navy Exequror and a couple of tackle, but only 3 Guards. So the battle would pivot on who could break the other reps.

We jump into them, I break cloak and am immediately primaried, webbed and scrammed, but the other 2 Guards catch me with ease. Lory targets the Tempest first and it goes down rapidly. It seems they decide to deaggress at that point and jump away, but their Guards are off gate and we kill 5 of them before they can burn in. 1.57B Isk of kills for no loss.

On Thursday Zen was running a training fleet as we have had a lot of new recruits over the last couple of months and the general thought was that the general experience levels in the alliance had been watered down and needed some formal training. Starting with an Armor Dessie gang with logi, around 15-20 people joined fleet. I took an Algos opting to let some new blood do the logi as per the training intentions of the fleet.

A SCUM. dessie gang were reported in a small plex in Kourmonen, they were in Algos and Inquisitors like us. We outnumbered them again, but they held the warp in and took the fight. We killed 7 Algos and an Inquisitor for the cost of a Thrasher.

We shipped into Tristans and Inquisitors, with myself and another in Stiletto's. Almost immediately we engaged 3 battle Procurers in Kourm and foolishly I lose my Stiletto making the first tackle and getting too close before finding they each had double webs. But all three Procurers go down taking a couple of Rifters and a Tristan with them, in addition to my Stiletto, with the help of an interfering neutral Belicose.

I reship in Kourm into a Breacher in order to get back to the fight and wh*re on the last 2 Procurers, we then immediately bounce into a novice plex to engage a NEOS FLEET of Frigates with Logi. Some of our fleet were missing or reshiping as is the way right after a fight. Numbers are similar as Zen orders us to activate the gate. They held the warp in with their logi set up, so it looked like it was going to be a tough brawl. However we slaughtered them without loss. Looking at the battle report, they had 3 or 4 Armor logi, but their DPS was all grab bag with some of them in Shield and others with local armor tanks, completely unsuited to taking remote armor reps.

We do a tour of the warzone and I stay in my Breacher to forward scout. Which I guess is kinda 'Pot calling the kettle black' as I'm in a local shield rep tank with Armor Logi. But as it turns out it works perfectly for forward scouting. I manage to catch first a Comet, then a Tristan in various plexes and hold them until support landed and finished them. Meanwhile the main body gank down several more ships as we travel about.

As we come back towards home, we meet the same 3 Procurer pilots, having reshipped, on the Kourm gate in Kamela and kill them again, this time without loss. Shortly after this we rush over to Raa to help a friendly pilot who had found a Mordu Legion rat in one of the belts. It drops a Barghest BPC.

Zen calls it a night and logs, but several of the fleet want to go on. I take over as boss, instructing people it will just be a general skirmish fleet to deplex Kourm a bit. Shortly a fight kicks off in a small plex. Around 4 friendly pilots were already in the plex when 3 neutrals come into them, one of which was in a Wolf. Several others rush over, but as I land I find a neutral Jaguar on the gate. I decide to tackle it and keep it out of the fight. Thinking I can kite it until the guys finish off those inside. However, he is dual prop fit and catches me with a scram. To make matters worse an Incursus joins him. I'm sure I'm going down, but the Incursus is cautious about approaching and I'm tanking the Jag while my ASB aren't empty. The guys finish the neutrals inside the plex and bounce out and we kill both the Jag and Incursus with me in structure and everything red.

I derp several of us including my Breacher, trying to engage that interfering Belacose again. Boosted WTs in a Phantasm and Flycatcher 3rd Party the fight and pick us off piecemeal. I call it a night.

However, before logging do some admin and then notice a WT in Huola local and that the system contestation had risen to 1.2% (2 plexes). I find him in a small plex in a Dragoon, crash through the warp in with my Breacher and after a tough but satisfying fight kill him. A friendly Breacher rolls up near the end and gets 8.7% of the damage, I didn't ask for or need the help, but the NPC rats were also on the KM with another 17.21%, so it wouldn't have counted as solo.

Over two days, made 35 kills for 4 losses.

Tuesday 30th September 2014

Patch day and LML have been nerfed which effects my favorite ship, the Breacher. Almost straight away I'm in a small plex in Kourmonen in one, when a WT Thrasher comes in and I murder him. For once no NPC is up, which have robbed so many of my solo kills in defensive plexes. Then at the last moment a friendly Merlin arrives, wh*res on with about 3% damage and then does the same on the pod too causing no damage.

The month has not lived up to expectations, there has been some really dull periods especially the last couple of weeks. Outside of advertised fleets, it has often been very quiet.

However, I don't know if it is down to the patch, but tonight it was suddenly reunion time as loads of old faces came out of the woodwork. First I find Jusforkixs is online, my favourite bro, he hasn't really played since last December when we were running Oxide Nation together before the amalgamation with CTRL-Q, so I started chatting with him.

Only that day a rumor had gone around that Weazls were coming back to the Militia and Huola. Then Annah was on comms asking for Sacs and Guards to take on a mixed DBD/Amarr gang led by Predator Elite (himself a recent return to the warzone).

There was a lot of shunting around, changes of ships, we didn't quite have enough people. Twice we took fights and lost both, the first a AF fight and I lost an Inquisitor, the second a HAC fight and I lost a Guard although in the latter case my loss was the only significant one on our side as the fleet deaggressed and jumped away. Both fights were interfered with by Shadow Cartel.

Because I went down early, I was first back on the scene after the combatants left. I picked up around 80M mostly in T2 Salvage (8 Armor Plates) and drones. Moments later I paid a visit to the static plex in Huola and dropped a Dark Blood Warp Disruptor worth 90M, just about covered my losses.

I stayed on a bit late to run a couple of plexes in Kourm. I was doing them solo, but a couple of friendlies came into local and we got into a skirmish in a large plex with a couple of neutral cruisers, so I formed a fleet. Anslo then popped up and 4 or 5 of his guys from Scope Works joined the fleet. We had a really entertaining time, killed loads of stuff until we derped on a small gang of spider tanking Algos'. Lost a Breacher then and called it a night.

Ended the night 14 kills for 3 losses. Ended the month 312 kills for 30 losses.

Thursday 9th October 2014

After a spell of very limited play I picked up the baton again on Thursday and joined a training fleet that Zen was running. The comp was Armor frigates with logi. I was in a Tristan, but was also double boxing the fleet boosts in a Loki.

We undocked and went direct to the Kamela gate in Kourm. Almost immediately a PL Ferox landed on us and jumped to Kamela. We realised straight away that it was cyno bait, but we were only in frigates, so we jumped and engaged. The Cyno went up and PL jumped in, while they had a few Machariels and such, they also brought some more appropriate smaller stuff, Cynabals for example. We killed the Ferox and baled, losing 5 frigates in the process (including my Tristan). We won the Isk war at about 75M to 50M but they were left holding the field. However, they immediately departed without looting the field. I came back in a Tristan and shipped two loads of loot to my Kourm base station, then reshipped in an Algos and cleared the rest of the loot.

Our fleet had moved on and had found a dessie gang in Arzad. Zen got the fleet into a medium plex as several strung out members raced to catch up. The enemy stacked up on the outside, if they had taken the fight right away they would have had a good chance, but they dithered and then decided to go to the small and take control of the warp in. All of this gave me time to reship back to my Tristan and catch up and far more importantly, get the boosts over to Arzad.

We activated the gate, went in and murdered them, killing 8 Dessies and 2 Frigates for the loss of 3 frigates. With our holds full of loot, we decided to head back to Huola via the Devoid route -> Tararan, Ashged, Labapi, Roushzar. But as we landed on the Tararan gate a WT Worm landed with us. We all jumped and killed it on the other side and then continued for home.

Zen gave us a 10 minute break, but I was back after 5 and decided to go over to Kourm and wait in a small plex. I landed on a WT Thrasher on the outside and immediately engaged while shouting for help. I went down, but others arrived and finished off the Thrasher.

The fleet got going again as I reshipped into my 3rd Tristan of the night. We started off doing the same circuit through Lamaa to Arzad, but then continued on to Sosan. There our front runners baited a fight with a smaller but blingy frigate gang and we killed 2 Dramiels, a Hawk, Crow and Coercer.

Then we moved on to Sahtogas and met a large Cruiser gang on the 'in' gate, bounced to the medium plex and got inside. They had around 10 Caracals, 3 Scythes, an Arazu and a couple of Ares, possibly a couple more. We were 29 strong with 4 Inquisitors.

They stacked up on the outside of the plex. I got the boosts into Sahtogas and set up. We assumed they would be RLML fit and it would be a tough fight. They activated the gate and we murdered them, killing the Arazu, all 3 Scythes, 4 of the Caracals, an Ares + 2 pods. The Caracals turned out to be HML fit and all they took down was a Firetail.

Again with our cargo holds brimming with loot, we returned to Huola and Zen stood the fleet down. However, quite a few people stayed on and after a couple of minutes I rejoined fleet. We went into loose general skirmish mode spread around several systems centred on Kourm.

At one point I noticed a Cyclone in a large plex in Lamaa. Bait I was advised, the pilot was known to some of us. However, we discussed it and decided we had enough people to go for it, if they reshipped into kiting cruisers. I was in a Caracal already and waited for people to reship. There were still around 17 people in fleet, but it seemed that only about 9 were active. To be honest we didn't really check what we had available, instead were in a rush to start the fight before we missed the opportunity.

I warped in first to get the initial tackle. I warped at 30 from the plex but landed at 10 from the Cyclone and he got scram and web on me before I could burn out. I emptied my RLMLs on him as the rest of our fleet arrived and engaged. But it looked like I was going to go down first. He had closed to 4 Kms and there was no way I was getting out. As my damaged hit structure he was only in one third Shield.

Other members of both fleets arrived. I aligned out and started spamming warp to save my pod. Then suddenly I was out, still in my Caracal, trailing flames. Looking at the battle report later I noticed we had a friendly Griffin on field, I can only assume he saved me.

I returned to Kourm to rep as the fight went on without me. The Cyclone went down along with a Scythe and it sounded like we were getting the best of the fight. Once repaired I jumped my Caracal back into Lamaa and warped to the plex. An Eagle had been called primary and I landed about 5 km from it. Targeted it and started my RLMLs while burning away, but expecting to be scrammed down before I could get away. Someone got a long point on me, but that was it. I reconnected to my lost drones and got them started on the Eagle too. The Eagle finally went down and I called a Navy Vexor as primary which had the long point on me.

Things were not going well, eventually I called bale. I was almost out of point range, but at the last minute I started taking some heavy hits (presumably from drones) as I became primary. Once again I went to warp in deep structure trailing flames. The fight ended with us losing 8 ships including 6 Cruisers against the Cyclone, Eagle and Scythe. But the Eagle was blingy fit and we won the Isk war at least.

Ended the night 25 kills for 2 Tristan losses.

Friday 10th October 2014

Annah (Weazls) was running a HAC gang. Ishtars with Scimitars and specials. I decided to go for a simple DPS role for a change, seeing as I had recently fitted up an Ishtar. We took a Wormhole from Huola to Sahtogas, then immediately another one from Sahtogas to Raihbaka in the Galante/Caldari warzone. About 15 of us did a quick tour of part of that warzone but only ganked down a single Caracal in Tama.

Reports came in that there was a neutral BS gang back in Kourmonen, so we rushed back. By the time we exited the second WH in Huola they had moved on to Egghelende. We followed picking up a few more people on the way. After a lot of faffing around we finally engaged the BS gang on the Sun in Egghelende. However, after killing an Apocalypse for the cost of a couple of our short range tackle frigates, the neutral gang baled.

We went to the Egg/Sisiede gate as that was the only low sec way out. As we camped the gate we killed a WT Talos and Algos. Again there was another long period of faffing around, we chased after some other targets then went after the BS gang after they broke out of Egghelende and ran for Egmar via Amamake and Gulmorogod. Scouts reported they were setting up on the Gulmorogod gate in Egmar and Annah decided we would jump into them and scatter to range. All did not go well, we took down three more BS and some tackle, but lost some blingy stuff trying to get to range, eventually we had to bale.

A load of loot was left on field, not least dozens of sentry drones. The neutrals didn't pay attention and one of our neutral scouts lifted 3 faction webs out of our wreaks from under their noses. The neutrals left and we returned to Huola. Annah stood the fleet down, but I took it over and took about 6 of us back to the loot field in Thrashers and we recovered loads of stuff. I personally recovered around 1100 m3 of loot, 3 Thrasher loads.

Ended the night 7 kills for no loss.

Saturday 11th October 2014

Logged on and undocked a couple of hours after DT. I was intending to take a run at the static plex in Huola, so I was in a Comet. However, as usual I checked the plexes first and immediately scanned a Maller in a medium. Went in and it was a WT (War Target). Shortly it was a dead WT. Great start to the day. Unfortunately the solo kill was ruined by a previous engagement he was carrying from earlier, plus the NPC wh*red on as usual.

Moved to Kourm, now in a Breacher and killed a Slasher outside a plex. This time it should have been a perfect solo kill, but a Smile and Wave Catalyst landed at range, way out of blaster range, but took a shoot scoring 0 damage. B*stard!

A new pirate gang (Never Surrender) have moved into Lamaa and they like bringing the big blingy stuff. We have had some good fights out of them, but out of habit, we have been engaging in small stuff and often getting pwned by them. Today I was in the mood to take a risk with some bigger stuff of our own. So I encouraged people to ship up, although no specific comp. I personally got into a Claymore.

Sides were fairly even at roughly 8-10 each, but halfway through the fight an Amarr Cruiser gang tired to third party. Their timing couldn't have been worse, they arrived just as the last of Never Surrender baled. We killed several of the WTs, they they baled just as the pirates came back for round 2 and we kicked arse again. When the smoke had cleared we had killed, a Sleipnir, 2 BCs, a Gila, 2 Scythe Fleet Issues, 2 Omen Navy Issues, Vexor, Maller, Omen, Worm, Hawk, Ishkur and Coercer.

We had lost a few cruisers of our own, but loads of blingy loot was left on a widely dispersed field and we reshipped into smaller stuff to collect it. I shipped into an Algos for this and as I was looting one wreak two GalMil AWOXers landed on me in a Comet and Taranis. Friendlies responded and we killed both quite easily although I was left in three quarter armor.

We continued and got several more ganks and skirmishes and then I decided to take a break. Came back after an hour or so and decided a change in pace was in order, so scanned down an anomoly and took a Tengu out to run it. I had actually completed it (crap drop), but was just mopping up the last of the NPCs, when 2 Garmurs, a Worm and a Hyena landed on the plex gate. Now I had cloaky eyes outside and spotted them as soon as they landed. So immediately I hit the warp out button. I watched them activate the gate and felt quite smug about my leetness, then watched them warp into the plex, tackle and kill me. I was like "WTF? Why am I still here?" I have no idea what went wrong, I got the notification that I was going to warp, saw the Tengu align, but it just never went to warp. It wasn't a huge loss, 404M Isk, but a 3 day skill, Tengu Offensive V went with it.

Despite that, I actually had a really good day. Ended the day 34 kills for 2 losses (Tengu and Breacher)
