Remember how this topic isn't about destroying NPC COs?
Its about NPC corporations' crap having nothing to do in UNEXPLORED space.

The fact that the COs are there proves that wSpace is explored. Completely explored.
They need to go away!

They don't even have to be there: If you want to do PI in W-Space and are somehow to poor or lazy to bring you own POCO, a planet automatically spawns a NPC-customs office for the first player setting up his command center.

So deleting them from every unused planet would be incredibly easy and wouldn't inconvenience anyone.

While I do agree with your point, I still maintain that Interbus COs should be completely banned from wSpace (unless Interbus becomes an active NPC faction which colonizes wSpace solar systems. That would be fun!).

You seem to mistake ccp for a company that care about lore when making mechanics

Interbus POCOs only show up the first time a planet is used. So, the fact that there are Interbus POCOs at a planet mean that it was used at some point in time.

At that point, it's easy enough to explain, lore-wise, why they're there: A capsuleer doing PI at a planet without setting up their own POCO automatically contracts with Interbus to provide a POCO there. Since there's someone in the system, it's not really "unknown" space anymore, and Interbus has a way in to set up their POCO.

Oh, I didn't know that. Color me surprised. So there is no problem, then? Since systems with Interbus-COs are already explored and truly untouched systems are also completely empty?

Well, I guess this thread is now redundant and can be closed. P

I find this hard to believe simply because I've lived in wSpace for the past 2 years and I have never ever seen a system without a full set of COs.

I have seen POCO-less systems before.

You can choose to not believe it all you want, that doesn't make it any less true. The way it works is fairly well documented.

W-space is a lot less "unexplored" than you think it is.

Why should they delete them to make it easy for you? If you want to replace them with your own to have 0% tax then you need to risk something and being out in the open shooting a CO does that.

Its zero risk to anyone with a clue.

It makes no sense whatsoever that there would be an already existant corporation structure in w-space.

If it is 0 risk, go toss some T1 Ammo into a Revelation, put enough stront in for 4 cycles and go sit on it at optimal with standard xl.

Just like everyone else, everywhere else in eve. Grind if you want the money. If you cant be bothered with an easy task, assuming its zero risk, then there is no reason to be having this discussion to begin with. I dropped couple of dreads in the middle of lowsec because it was zero risk at the time, in a high traffic area and now i just laugh because of the 5 minutes of work. I am pulling in roughly 400m a month because people are too lazy to go shoot the **** themselves and take it (the income) away from me.Lol
So, 400m for what took me maybe 60 minutes. A constant income until that part of space becomes uninhabited or someone replaces them.
