Windows 8.1 Preview: Cursor flickering issues

Hello.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Preview with two AMD 6800HD series graphics processors with AMD CrossfireX. I recently upgraded to this version in order to make use of VS 2013 Preview, so I am still getting used to the Windows 8 features. This is where my problems come in.

I am having issues in the EVE client with the mouse cursor. The cursor flickers and disappears for a few frames consistently whether the client is running in windowed mode, fixed window, or full-screen. It is happening enough that I am unable to effectively use any of the EVE client UI. Normally, I would try and fix an issue like this myself. However, with Windows 8 newly installed on my PC, I seem to have lost the functionality of using the AMD Control Panel and tweaking some graphics settings in there. The graphics cards now seem to be handled completely through the Windows OS, and access to the functionality & options of the AMD cards is much more limited.

If anyone knows how I may be able to get the AMD Control Panel options back, or how to resolve the cursor issue in the client, help would be appreciated.

Update:
Fixed with the installation of the official AMD Catalyst™ Windows® 8.1 Preview Driver software. AMD Catalyst is the name of the AMD Control Panel software. The driver has support for the WDDM 1.2 driver model Windows OS uses in the absence of the AMD Catalyst software. The cursor flickering issues are now gone and the client is running as normal.
