Issues with the agression timer and dropouts...

So a few times now I have been flying through Amarr space who i have low standing with..

I just normally jump through these systems with no issue.. or if I have to hold in a Amarr system I will bounce around.

But a few times now I have been jumping through and have had my game crash.. So while I'm n o longer in the game it takes the servers a little amount of time to realise I'm not there and warp my ship away, unfortuneatly during this time I have landed on a gate and the Amarr Navy has taken a shot at me putting the 5min agression timer on so when the server catches on that I'm not actually there and warps me away my ship stays in space and the Navy with their magical I know where you are ability warp at 20km and destroy my ship while i frantically try to log back into the game.. which then cause alot of rage on my side of the key board.

What really gets me about this is that I have no control of the loss.. If i had activly done something to cause the timer I would accept that I loss something.. but the fact that I'm getting the timer because I wasnt actually in the game and my ship was agressed by Rats in high sec who chase you down, after the server realises you are not there...

But in all seriousness that's really your only option. The game was changed to allow entities (including NPCs) to put timers on offline pilots, so short of changing the mechanics specifically for this edge case I can't see CCP doing anything about it, especially when you have recourse of your own (fixing your standings).

Yeah I could try and get my standing fixed..

But alot of my standing issues were from playing in Mimitar Malita, and doing pirate missions when hanging in 0-0 (which is where I spend most of my time, but been harrasing people away from home)

And I would rather spend my isk on other things..
