EVE General Discussion

It wasn't brought about because bitter vets demanded it. CCP promised and confimed they were doing it several times, even to the point of dangling it in front of us with a claim it was part of the last expansion but didn't make it and the promise of having it before fanfest.

So we were promised a pony even though we never asked for one and then told that they decided instead to take the pony behind the barn and shoot it.

So a couple of things we have to ask. Was ANY of it true. Was it really far along and work being done on it till recently? If it was that close why not just deliver it? Is Eve really so crusty that something as seemingly simple as copying a current asset and putting on the grid is a huge deal? I did read it turned out to be impossible to work out the restricted access based on account age. I sort of believe that, but I run software teams for a living and I would have investigated and figured out basic things like that before I have any real resources applied to delivering it.

Bottom line this is either a real indicator that the development process is a mess at CCP or we aren't being told the real story.

Although I would have probably visited the Jita Bitter station once or twice I'm not losing any sleep over not getting, but I just get tired of seeing yet another faceplant in CCP/player communications. When is the last time we got anything approaching what we've been told to expect or promised to see?

I have one of my "new eden alts" try and start a "kickstarter" fund in Rens local

I approve of this thread!! :O) id love a present for my loyalty, i havent been subbed for the whole 10 years there have been breaks but with real life going from a skinny teen to a hulking monster with bewbs ive loved all 10 years ive been playing!


All i wanna ask is dont make it based on how we have been active and stuff, I think a good idea as someone mentioned would be to just reward 10 year toons that have not left their original account? wont be ideal for everyone though i dont know :) ive spent my lfie growing up with eve and i wish i coulda played every hour i was awake until bed time but work, education, real life stuff you know im sure you all understand how hard it is to keep a sub going for 10 years , dont make it too shiney or expensive just make somthing uniquefor us and id be ever so happy, somthing i can show off, an imperial navy apoc perhaps? ;o you could scrub it down so it aint too shiney and all that!!!.


But yes some great ideas keep them coming!

Im no where near being alive that long, even on my oldest alt

But I want it, it would be cute

It could have a loyalty store that sold mugs and tshirts and a visitors center for us young uns

And ice cream

And cake

What? Do you get booted out of the game if you enter HighSec? Just take a pod or shuttle or something.

Or collect some of those new tags to upgrade your sec-status a bit.
