So in addition to playing moral guardian you are also taking intellectual high ground?

This thread is going places.

No intelectual highground. I just saw that my solution wasn't optimal. I was unintelligent and didn't see the consequences. So i paddled back and i hope we all have an agreement now. Such pics shouldn't be posted and should have consequences for people that post em.

Edit: And if people enjoy sick stuff for any reason? Keep it out of the game. Agree?

You're right, but i'm not sure which of those apply to said giff. (pretty sure i know the one he's talking about)
We're also basing this around that children would see it, my point was they shouldent be playing in order to see stuff (legal or not) that get's posted.

Absolutely, couldn't agree more.

People are justifying their activities by hiding behind the EULA when the next section defines their behaviour as unacceptable in the first place.

It's a poor argument, that's all.

No intelectual highground. The opposite is true. I just saw that my solution wasn't optimal. I was unintelligent and didn't see the consequences. So i paddled back and i hope we all have an agreement now. Such pics shouldn't be posted and should have consequences for people that post em.

But there are consequences.

Report them and they will get banned pending investigation. I've seen it happen to many of my corp mates.

But that takes effort.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Report them! I think we can all agree there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, and though a deer head-shot might be only slightly over the line, it could have easily been something much worse! (Insert much worse scenario here). Afterall, you don't know what you're going to see until you look, and not looking in case its something bad would make using the internet very boring indeed.

Things are against the rules for a reason!

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

Well i was in for a surprise. Some deer got his head blown off and you could see it in slomo. I am not the kind of guy that has problems with gross pics or something, but this kind of stuff really fu**s with my mind and im not able to forgett it easily.

I mean what the hell? Some pretty sick people in this game. Idk at what age people can play this game? I imagine some underaged may play this and if they see something like that idk if they may comprehend it so well. Well i surely couldn't.

While I understand your pain, you must take note that according to the ESRB, "Online interactions are not rated", which means that if you want a 100% effective way of avoiding such things, you should not log into the game.

EDIT: Either way, try reporting the player if it was *that* bad and you think it might cross a few lines in the EULA or something.

Also ... i forgot to mention Chribba. Caesarion ... whenever you post in a thread,
you should mention Chribba too. At least once. It's a running gag, you know.

Although i'd LOVE to keep a discussion going,
because i love (mis)using threads for talking,
it's 0211 and i should go to sleep.

You can google Chribba ... it'll be helpful.
Just remember to mention him at least once when you
start posting in a thread.

And maybe you wanna bump my thread,
it's on page two already and self-bumping is shamefull. :(

ONLINE INTERACTIONS NOT RATED BY THE ESRB.

Its on the box, and the website, and the login screen.......

If you have no self control and must click every link in local then you are a moron and get precisely what you deserve. If you let your children play Eve and click links while unattended then you are a bad parent. Neither of these scenarios is CCP's problem.

Hope this helps.

Also, please stop posting as you are a terrible person with terrible ideas.

What?

Is the OP seriously complaining that in a game, where people in channels like Mining Chat and Local regularly discuss sexual molestation of rare breeds of albino Alpacas, you would seriously consider randomly clicking links that pop up?

If you go to the trouble of paying $15 a month to browse to random intenetz links on a 12 Gig sized browser that NEEDS to connect halfway across the globe first, is laggy, can't run Java, has no support for addons, then complain some "links" that are being posted in local - which is the same channel were practically every scam under the sun is spammed non stop - are too graphic ...

... you need to get a syringe full of Common Sense and give people in your family massive injections of it.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

Its making me hungry.
