Hey,

To clarify, hardcore PI skill plan and a cov ops scanning alt skill plan. I uh, don't really know whats useful and whats pointless here, so if anybody could lend a hand?

I have both a maxed-out PI alt and a shiny CovOps alt, so not purely outofasstalking. Very nice alts to have!

For dedicated PI I would suggest following:

+ all PI skills to V except Remote Sensing, it's a prerequisite but other than that pretty useless imo.
+ transport ships (means racial industrial V, a cloaky hauler is very nice to have for resource-extraction PI)
+ Cloaking IV
+ skills for T2 shield tank
+ skills for T2 expanded cargoholds and cargo rigs
+ navigation skills as high possible for maximum agility

+ astrometrics+ other scanning skills to III (if you really want to benefit from PI, you do it in a wormhole)

Obviously if you choose to stick to manufacturing PI in hisec, you don't need a transport ship.

For proper covopsing why not go all the way?

+ Astrometric Rangefinding V
+ CovOps V
+ all fitting skills maxed

Just a basic scanner with skills at IV/III will do just fine for most purposes, but scan strenght never hurts, does it :D anyway CovOps V opens up a nice path to stealth bombers... Anyway a covops alt needs very little core skills, so besides the prereqs for the main skills, just add some levels of Warp Drive Operation, maybe scram operation skill and navigation skills for agility and speed.
