It would be nice if one could change his/her character name.

The system could provide the feature before one launches their character.

To elaborate, EVE is a game of reputation, loyalty, betrayal, espionage, and consequences, REAL consequences. Having your name become known and "burning" your character so to speak as eternally a spy/thief/liar is part of that, you chose those actions, and now you must live with the consequences of them.

The system ALREADY allows a player to assign a name to a character before that character is first launched...

Yeah, thats the reason why you cant make a simple alt and got away without any consequences...

Yeah, thats the reason why you cant make a simple alt and got away without any consequences...

there are consequences, just for that character, consequences that that name will always bear, so that character, its SP, and anything else tied to it can no longer be used. which is different from you having a 100mil SP character with 800 billion in assets, burning your entire corp and their reputation, changing your name for 20-40 USD, then still being a 100mil character with 800bil in assets.

Easier to put all that into the report (click the flag symbol), than to assume the ISDs read every post in every thread.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
