Why in the hell would anyone want to dethrone, quite literally, the biggest content creators in the game? I mean, let's be honest, they create more content than CCP themselves (as CCP just perpetually nerfs and buffs existing content.) Ice interdictions, freighter ganking via Burn Jita, and the full support of Helicity's Hulkageddon...just to name a few.

And lets be honest, the amount of pretentiousness and ::smug:: that "Dear Leader" shows, not only makes him weirdly charismatic , but extremely hilarious. Case in point...his TMC podcast with Darius Johnson...spinning the Fountain War. It was good for lulz.

So stop trying to overthrow Goons. They may be asshats, but they are fun asshats, who make your game a more non-static experience. And this coming from a high-sec "pubbie." At least they force you to learn the most basic rule...watch local in EVE...something most high sec residents cannot seem to learn.




Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

Anyway, New Order is the most hate-able group in EVE these days. That B-rated made-for-TV pseudo-Biblical smack talk. It really stinks up high sec Local and ruins the EVE gaming experience.

Knowing the textbook definition of a strategic philosophy is very different than developing and EXECUTING a successful one in a real world scenario. We all know E=MC2... 99.99999% still don't know how to apply that in a practical sense. We all know the colors and shapes, that does not make us all artists. We all know some general information abut the human body, that does not make us all medical doctors. Ya' understand?

Then I experienced SOV grind, and whether I enjoyed being in the CFC or not...I made an executive decision to never, ever participate in the soul crushing nature of that grind again. And made a hasty retreat to Empire, followed by a 6 month EVE break.

This horseshit really doesn't matter, and quite frankly, is not applicable to anything in EVE. Yea, little tidbits can be applied, like Sun Tzu saying if "your enemy is of choleric temper, irritate him," as well as other little pieces used to cause dissonance. But these little tidbits are not usually used as some grand sweeping arc that involves wars and everything else. No, that is numbers and a sizable war chest. These little strategic tidbits, however, are the very nature and source of the most sought after currency in game...tears.

Is The Mittani, "Machiavellian" in nature? Absolutely. He has been called the "Spymaster" for years, and the moment that NCdot's renter empire dropped sov recently, the fingers immediately immediately pointed to him, and "The Mittani sends his regards," was fresh in our minds, because it is always easy to blame the bad guy (and the Red Wedding had just aired, making for good meme's, lmfao.)

But for that matter, any person who has backstabbed in one form or another, is Machiavellian in nature. Same goes for:
-Heisting
-Ganking
-Tear Farming
-General Asshattery

BUT...It does not change what I originally posted. These proclaimed "bad guys" provide more forward momentum in EVE than the actual devs do. Let's be honest, last really big live event was Luminaire...and it was a scripted event.

Tell me......is Burn Jita a scripted event? No, it is emergent.

Is the fearfulness of ice miners, and the gross inflation of Nitropes, a scripted event? No, it is a highly lucrative shadow ploy, meant to do two things...produce tears and make money...both of which are emergent. Doesn't matter if actual interdiction is happening or not. All it took was the thought of said interdiction. And I am glad Goons did it, because it has made me money.

TL;DR

Specifically for the OP.....

Quit trying to bash down emergence. And quit spouting tears. Because if you have EVER ruined someone's day in EVE, borrowed a ship from a bro with the intention of never returning it, or hell, even flipped some poor miners can...back when such things were possible...than you too are Machiavellian. In fact, you may have even worse problems. Because according to psychology, you are a "dark triad" personality, prone to sociopathic, or even psychopathic behavior. Better stop and think about that the next time you do try and ruin someone's day Blink. Or learn to apply those same tactics when someone ruins your dayTwisted. Lol.

Former CFC member, Goon, or standard CFC grunt....who really cares if we all hover, circling around waiting for "hapless spurge posts." We desire tears, and if you haven't looked around lately, GD forum is like the bright center of the universe for tears, especially on the EVE forums, lol.

Without them local would be as bereft of words as a blank page, especially in the systems with ice anoms.

The RP is there to amuse the hell out of the people doing it, and to annoy the hell out of the people on the receiving end of the New Orders loving attentions. It drives the ganked into apoplectic fits of rage and produces tears of the finest quality.
