1. Re-light the second starboard engine on a Charon / Rhea. It has had a flameout.

2. The Caldari industrials are very 'blocky" looking.

3. Please restore the antennae arrays to the Badger, Badger Mark II, Crane, Bustard. They were lost in Apocrypha.

4. Please just remove the brightly blinking lights from the Amarr shuttle. MY EYES! MY EYES! I'M BLIND!

Am I the only one that likes the Moa?

Oddly enough, I like the Moa. It has character. And reflects Caldari efficiency and engineering prowess. Caldari build the ship's systems first, placing them in the most efficient locations, and simply balance the output of the ship's engines to compensate for the asymmetrical distribution of mass. It's interesting to see how that philosophy carries over to Gallente ships, some of which are also not terribly symmetric, even if they are rather more elegant.

In general, I dislike the prevalence of perfectly symmetric and aerodynamic ships in many science fiction films and games nowadays. It shows a rather unfortunate lack of imagination. There's no drag in space, even if in EVE the drag of a warp core against the warp interface makes ships behave as though they are in a liquid medium. So there's no need to make sure everything is nice an aerodynamic.

Why do people keep calling the Moa functional? It is one of the least functional ships in all of Sci-Fi!
Functional would be a brick, or a sphere. Not a... whatever the Moa is.

Its ok if you like the thing, but don't call it something it most certainly is not.

And forget about the inefficiency. Its not about lack of imagination, but about what works. I can think of only one ship in EVE that is efficient in its design. The pod.

instead of redesign some spaceship in eve. i think we should have more design of each spaceship type, may be start from cruise so we can have more new design we satisfy with to drive in game. this is my opionion. to keep original feeling in the game we should not take away old(time) design and slowly come along with new things. and every spaceship should have the story on it.

another idea, may be player can design our own spaceship, different from the game design, player can freely design any part of the spaceship. example, when your skills reached for a battleship. we will get a battleship's structure than we design on it or we start design from structure til the last procedure. after or while designing new our spaceship we also can design of ability of the spaceship too. normally we depend on ability of our skills training, game spaceship fixed abilities and all equiment.

i have not much experienc in eve yet, my idea would be useless. :) and apologize with my english is not strong.

IMHO the Bellicose and the Typhoon need an overhaul. And all "advanced class" solar panels/sails/shield emitters/whatever they are.

Definately the Moa, there aren't words for how ugly that ***** is, its like a load of freezer components have just been welded together. I like to imagine that the scientists and engineers who designed it never actually met, that it was such a secret project that not all of them knew it was a ship they were building, and when they finally came together the project leader was like "ah fuckit" closes his eyes, spins and points upwards "Pod goes in there, just weld it all together". Also some new sexier noob ships might be nice, the most distressing part of blowing up for me is the knowledge that when I dock there will be a new Felator waiting for me. Hmm thanks insurance company wtf did I ever do to you?

The Tempest.

I really like its overall look, but it has some very ugly artwork on it, and that giant air intake vent on the side just looks strange,. I dont think that should be removed, but it should be worked on!

And hopefully they do something about the Ibis. My god, its the ugliest little baby i've ever seen. Imagine that being your first ship in this game! The starter ships really need a look. This is the introduction players get to eve. Their first ships should look good.

Chimera; Not ugly but needs some more texture love.
Phoenix; Big cunk of metal, needs some more details.
Miningbarges/Exhumers and/or Orca; Restyle to Rorqual/Noctis/Primea style
Blackbird; do i realy need to explain this?
Osprey; not sure about this one though, kind of like his weird look. (Pregnant somethign beast.)

Dude, where is my Quafe Megathron?

The one thing that I really dislike about the Tempest, is the fact it comes with its own desk stand.

I'm happy enough with the Condor hulls, but I can get behind this design. I don't need perfect symmetry in a ship, but I won't complain about it unless it gets to pervasive. Asymmetry in the designs is one of the characteristic features in Eve's ships.

I like the top mounted launchers and it echoes the Caracal design in a way, which is one of my favorite hulls in the Caldari line.

Yeah, and that's why a lot of them look like horse and carts rather than sports cars.

i can only speak as an amarr from this particular stand point... i suggest you make over: gallente ships, minmatar ships, and caldari ships.. ALL of them in that order. and i guess if you were so inclined as to try to improve on the perfection that is amarrian beauty.... the crucifier (frigate) and the bestower (industrial) should start from scratch. and considering that a navy slicer blueprint requires a punisher (not an executioner) perhaps the slicer should look more punisher like...and less executioner like. any attempt to alter other amarr ships will be considered an act of war.

Many of the 'asymmetrical' ships are ugly because they look like designers took functional elements and non-functional elements and joined them together randomly.

Bad asymmetrical ships:
Blackbird
Moa
Raven

Good asymmetrical ships:
Kestrel
Heron
Tristan

From what I have seen in the CCP video blog the 'new' Raven still lacks a missile look and still has bits of Sansha design in it.

The Proteus needs to be fatter, especially with drone subsystem and a more defined front, looks too much like a bent hot dog now without the EWAR electronic subsystem. I'd prefer a kind of mini Domi/Thanatos/Ishtar something something.

Lachesis looks a bit daft

The Apoc hull sucks, looks like something took two bites of it and left the rest since it sucked too much. It lacks the Amarr "all your loot are belong to us" look, flimsy and not projecting power.

The Moa hull is a little bad too, needs some spicing up.

The Amarr yellow is not good enough, it had better colors before, should think about bringing some more shine back and not looking like washed out yellow.

The Ishkur front spike is horrible, what's it supposed to be? Air to air refuel spike? Get rid of it.

IMO.
