Been advising new players not to pvp cause it's impossible and been very annoying about it. Been ignoring good advice given by f.e. the one who decced him now and likes to debate the advice given. Likes to whine a lot.

Generally a lot of noise where there shouldn't be any. Stopped responding to his posts a while a go because of it.

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

This. Since I started my career in EVE at the beginning of June of this year, it's become starkly apparent that jumping straight into PvP after the tutorials is not a very good idea. There's an amazing amount of knowledge one must have in order to properly fit a ship for a particular purpose or even a particular opponent. PvE teaches some important lessons there. The missions are great proving grounds for your skills and ship fits. More importantly, you gain valuable experience.

I've noticed that some players initially equate skills with experience. Nothing could be further from the truth. Persisting in that notion will be an exercise in frustration and failure. You've got to be smart about what you're doing in the EVE universe, no matter what. A pile of skill points is no substitute for experience and perseverance.

EVE demands a lot from its participants. In return, you get an unforgettable experience.

The PvE does teach some lessons, it certainly gives you a start on tanking, damage types, resists, the ranges that you can engage opponents at etc; bearing in mind that a PvE tank will generally evaporate in PvP. What it doesn't prepare you for is the actual PvP experience, and the potential for an adrenalin rush that comes with it. That's where the buy 20 frigates and die hilariously, RvB, Brave Newbies, OUCH and Agony advice comes in.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

probs the same people who thought you'd stand and fight and then gain some PvP exp. you never know maybe if you quit complaining about it and talked to him, he might have some things to teach you.


Maybe you should check Paul's killboard. It's not like he is trying to hide in safety of hisec like some players.

Thanks! IM's good crew to fly with. Laz and Hells and the gang have been tremendously helpful to this newcomer. Thanks to them, I've gotten a solid footing in the EVE universe. We do a bit of all of it - PvE, mining, exploration, PvP lowsec roams, etc.

That kind of stupid is forever. Begone F1 monkey. And thank you for pointing out those fits when I was.... was 3 months old ingame. Besides... That AC Harby/Vengenace killed more ships solo then you ever have killed anything solo.


Three months into the game I knew better than to fit autocannons to a Harbinger. Your armor Talos and RC1 1400 Nado concepts are only slightly better. I eagerly await your entrance into low/nullsec so that I can explore the hilarity of your modern fits.

I wonder what further validation you have for spending your time shooting pods, mining barges, and unfit destroyers with a Legion in highsec. I'm sure it will vastly outweigh the hundreds of fights I've taken outnumbered and against larger ship classes, both solo and in small gang.

This is why so many corps have a rule about not posting with your main.

C'mon people, get smart. You have three character slots in a game full of people that want to make you cry. Use one of those slots to make a forum alt if you feel the need to express yourself through the written word. I have usually four to eight characters training on four accts and have yet to post in the forum with one.

Never has one of them been wardecced. Although I have a few times. It's funny to log into your forum alt occasionally only to find out you missed a perfectly good war. LOL
