1. As I understand it, Black Rise is the main Faction War area for Caldari, right? Any suggestion on which system I should set up at as a "home station" in that region?

2. What's the primary trade hub for Caldari Faction Warriors in Black Rise? or do we go all the way to Jita to buy our replacement ships and such?

Black Rise and Placid are the main theatres of war, with some constellations on the side from other regions. As far as caldari FW goes Ichoriya is the market hub of choice, with jita being close enough to be used as well.

There are some hazards to keep in mind though: Highsec doesn't mean you're safe from hostile FW pilots. Best bet is to outsource all your hauling to services such as red frog or use an alt for this. If you're moving ships from JIta bigger than a frigate or (non-plated) destroyer, make sure to fit for travel.

That aside I suggest to look into joining an established FW corporation.

There are a few places which serve as trade hubs/entry points: aside from Ichoriya, there's also Nourvukaiken, which has the advantage of a State Protectorate station, but the FW system it adjoins is Tama, which is also a notorious pirate hub.

Aside from Ichoriya and Nourv, two other good hisec entry points are Onnamon (also with a State Protectorate station) and Samanuni (slightly less traveled, but leading right into the Asakai pipe).

First I would look into a FW corp/alliance that fly in your TZ. This is simply the best advice for anyone thinking of starting in FW.

But make sure it is a corp that bases out of lowsec not a frigne high sec corp.

They will already have the trade routes, home systems setup etc and will have ways/means of transport/scouting your stuff in/out.

Upon joining Caldari Militia, there are several points nearby in Black Rise where you can plex to earn your LP. The Gallente in those systems are terribad and it's easy to plex even while there's multiple of them in local. Those systems are Hirri, Nisuwa, Notoras, and Oinasiken.

If you are looking for work, I heard the X-Gallentious wheat farm was looking to hire another farm hand.

Black Rise is a good spot.

Only think you need to know if you live in Black Rise is to base in Enaluri & Dplex it back to stable everyday or the locals might not be very welcoming.


Interesting fact: (or could just be me making up more bullsh*t but meh...)
Enaluri is a traditional Aboriginal word meaning 'Overflowing Bucket of Gallente Tears'

black rise is just one region and maybe worst place to be caldari pilot in FW because it is area where gallente farms caldari newcomers, at least on some parts of it.

Black Rise is fine.

It wouldn't be very helpful to the Caldari militia as a whole if we all sat around OMS with the rest of you.
We also work very differently and feel many in militia take this game too seriously.

Once new fw members learn what not to do and how to avoid the usual pitfalls all works out ok.
The frogs have not been getting as many easy kills lately and the lolz have been great.

Snigwaffe/PL are more of a threat then the Gallente are to fw newcomers these days.
We still manage to hold our own in Black Rise quite well even with many newer low SP members.

Do what all the other Caldari newbies are doing, come farm Minmatar space and warp off the moment anything at all appears on d scan
