As others have said, you are trying to fly the Slicer in a fleet while using it as an interceptor. Instead of doing this, picking off tackle in fleet engagements should be your goal. Sit off the fleet a bit and pick off any eager tacklers. Also, as your skills improve a bit, you may want to try out the kiting Retribution. It is essentially a slower, tankier, and gankier slicer. It also recieves the 50% sig radius bloom reduction for MWDs, so you can fly it in gangs and evade a lot of damage.

Here's the fit I recommend:

Retribution: T2 Slicer

Highs:
Small Focused Pulse Laser II (x4)
[Empty High Slot]

Mids:
Gistii B-Type 1mn Microwarpdrive
Warp Disruptor II

Lows:
Nanofiber Internal Structure II (x2)
Heat Sink II (x2)
Co-Processor II

Rigs:
Small Energy Locus Coordinator II (x2)

This fit is just a beefed up slicer. With all 5s it puts out 183 DPS to 24km with Scorch, burns at 2.7 km/s, and has a 4.5k EHP tank. You can swap the second nano for a DCU if you want, and simply downgrade the point to a meta 4. The Dspace MWD is for better cap life, but you can use the meta version if price is a large factor. Same goes for T2 rigs, only use them if you can fit them and are willing to dish out the extra isk for 3 more KMs or range. This fit is great for clapping tackle off the field as they give chase, and is sure to be a blast in an RvB environment.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

most ppl who fly cruiser+ in RvB also carry a set of warrior II's so they can get nice juicy kills like your ship. Take my advice and fly cheaper ships untill you get a proper feel of kiting with frigs.

Everyone carries Warrior II's. I've been looking at killmail statistics and Warrior II's are pretty much THE killer.

Anyways, I decided to put together a slowboat Slicer that mimics one of my Punisher fits. In theory, it should work quite a bit better than my Punisher (Similar speed and tank, much more DPS, range and tracking). In practice, I imagine I'll just be primaried because the slicer is expensive and typically lightly tanked.

Tempted to play around with it some more and get a 10k ehp tank with slightly lower DPS.

I fly this for shitz'n'giggles, so far it's pretty much killed everything I've thrown it against. Would have taken down a hawk had a talwar not intervened.

Stats with my skills:
EHP: 6500
Tank: 38 (SAR), 83 (SAAR w/paste and OH)
DPS: 159 MF(5km), 127 Scorch(14.5km) Stuff just doesn't get under your guns.
Speed: 1120m/s
Align: 5.03s
Cap: 3m 40s with nos on target. way more than enough.

don't worry about the lack of scram. everyone will burn straight for you to tackle you expecting the normal kitey fits. Keep them at your optimal and melt them before the realise they cannot dictate range and you are repping their damage. In a gang someone else gets point. 1v1 vs frigs pretty much they die before the know how much danger they are in.

Scram slicers are literally awful.

W0lf was right on the money, you don't really need any speed mods, with good heat management with a gank fit like he posted the only things faster than you will die before it becomes an issue.

Basically, read W0lfs poast.
