Pretty sure the problem is they are exploiting mechanics in game to make money with no personal risk to themselves.

False. Bumping is not an exploit, per the devs. Source: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=199310&find=unread

Also, bumpers are at risk of being ganked, and in fact have been ganked on occasion. Many bumpers and most gankers are in player corps, and can also be war decced.

I love how on this forums people always say risk vs. reward, yet when there is an imbalance or exploit they defend the exploit. If you can basically harass a player into quitting/not playing, something is wrong. I can tell you right now, CCP is'nt going to let something like this continue if it losses them money.

Again, per the devs, what we do is not harassment, nor an exploit, any more than bumping a ship off a gate out of gate gun range, or out of a POS, is an exploit. James and others have been doing this since June 2012, but go on thinking the devs are going to step in.

The fact is, New Order cannot be wardec-ed, and continues to harass people with a game mechanic that hurts others financially, with no risk to themselves. Extortion itself is fine, but extortion without risk is not. Either bumping needs to be fixed, or there needs to be a wardec mechanic to fix this, like the ability to wardec a single person rather then a corporation. I'm more for the latter, I honestly think that the wardec mechanics are the issue here and not bumping.

You're 3/3 on being wrong...grats! New Order Logistics can, and has, been war decced, including by some bigger merc alliances like Whores. As far as the gankers and bumpers that are NPC corps, what about all the miners at are? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If you think current war dec mechanics are bad, just imagine if your idea of wardeccing a single person happens...talk about grief potential! LOL

Bumping is a fine mechanic, there really isn't any other mechanic that would work. Bumping to the point of harassment of players who don't fit your play style shouldn't really be allowed without real consequences.

Sustained and malicious harassment isn't something that makes the game better, it makes it worse. Less people will want to play the game because of this kind of douchebaggery. This isn't about kicking over someones sandcastle, its about not even letting them play in the box. Blow up their ships, do something legitimate that actually has consequences. Don't argue the point when you exploit the current mechanics to let you grief without any consequences (I also seem to recall being unwardecable was a point of pride for James 315).

You want to blow up miners, fine. Perma-bumping them so they cant even play the game isn't something I can say should be allowed. It even says in that GM post that you linked that this is classified as harassment ("which will be judged on a case by case basis"). If this isn't what you do, then keep doing whatever you ****-ing want. If you do continuously bump someone, and dont even let them warp away, then there is a problem.

(Also, regarding my previous idea; after thinking about it for a little bit I know it wont work.)

You really think someone would do that? Just log into EvE and tell lies?

thats my point.. EVERY action to the game has consequences..

if i gank, i get concorded (in high sec) you get concorded, or if you try to gank someone..

if you flip a can/steal loot you get suspect flagged, meaning you can be killed..

if you bump miners to the point where, regardless of whether they are AFK or not, they cannot mine... you get..

oh, wait.. there ARE no consequences for the bumper, no concord, no loss of standing.. no suspect flag, no ship damage

and THAT ladies and gentlemen, is the problem..

there are things that can be done to help, tanking reduces the likelyhood of a gank, not dropping cans eliminates flipping/theft, orbiting is suggested time and time again but is wholly useless vs say, a stabber navy, doing 3000m/s and with high agility, vs a ship that does 90 at best with all the agility of a fat chick in tar.

Anything with consequences to your actions, i accept as part of the game.. but when you are able to operate something like this with complete impunity, its an issue for me.

It is a matter of will, let them bump you into paying and they win, let them bump you till they decided there are easier fish to fry some place else and you win.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.
