what is honorable combat? i thought that's just a fairy story.one of those cute concepts that look good on paper but **** in reality ( like democracy ) ROFL. get used to it,this is eve

And don't forget that they also use rather expensive officer / deadspace modules on their ships to. I'm ex-Rebirth, so i know this Blink

The only thing broke about the duel mechanic is the popup that announces it as "honorable combat" to everyone on grid. Eve is unfair. Its best to be the one doing the unfair than the one receiving the unfair. I can't wait until the OP finds out about off-grid boosters.

Thank you. No, I *hadn't* figured it out yet. Hadn't bothered to try, to be honest - I don't, as general rule, answer requests for duels. Especially not anywhere where I don't control the 'high ground,' so-to-speak.
Result being, I miss some of the subtlties of this aspect of EVE.

"Honorable" means I think, in this context, that both parties may open fire without any security status hit. Nothing more, nothing less. "Dirty pool" is still "fair game." Lol

Well, I didn't quote the whole thing. It says honorable 1v1 combat. But in Eve its Everybody vs. Everybody. The message is misleading.


The rule I keep in mind is, Its always a trick. If it doesn't look like a trick, then I'm just not experienced enough to know what the trick is. Sometimes I know what the trick is and proceed anyway because I think I have a counter. Sometimes I leroy into it anyway because .. why not thats why.

Better plan is to have someone on grid ready to shoot anyone going flashy before accepting the duel. Be they friends, or just the usual crowd of people at the Jita 4-4 undock. Or both.

I'm saying that the use of the word "honorable" and "1v1" would have to be translated by the NSA to have any meaning in Eve duels.

1vs1 is very rare in eve and you shouldn't expect to get a 1vs1 in high sec with a duel.

Not true. Most 1v1's I fight and watch are honorable. Ganks are reserved for the test my tank I can dock whenever I want players.

I have loads of evemail chat convos thanking eachother for a gf . Also, if I use reps it's because a wartarget undocked so I send 100 mill to the other pilot if I happen to kill him while fighting wt's.

It's so you can keep fighting the next day. People know who fight fair and not.
