Hello all,
As stated in my topic title I am returning to eve after a few years being away from it. The last time I played, BOB was still a threat and they were fighting off half the galaxy. I have been playing this game since beta on and off, and despite my char being made in 2004, I only have 22m ish SP because I never played the game properly.

I would like to change that now since alot of my friends are just starting out. Now I know very little of the game, but back when I played, Megas and Domis were quite good and all was well. Now I hear much talk of how crappy gallante has become and I'm not quite sure why or how. Please help me find my way, I will want to pvp eventually but I am starting out with some noob friends and all their characters are new so I'll be doing missions and stuff with them to start with.

This is my skill list: Character Sheet
Its all over the place since I changed my mind alot back in the day, but I stuck with pure gallante for a long time. Now I found out about gallante / mimnatar hybrid ships so I am working on training up some Mim ships. What else do I need? Where do I go from here? My goals now are:

* Run some missions with my buddies, and also looking for other group pve options to make lots of ISK. We need isk, I only have 53m in the bank and need to set something up soon

* Will want to train mim ships at one point, but for now I want to make best use of my gallante skills, where do I go and what gallante ships are awesome?

* I will eventually want to pvp when my buddies are more used to the game. I have a few friends in various low sec corps, but what ships should I aim for? Back in the day I loved battleship warfare with both short and long range weapons. I also liked battlecruisers, but now there seems to be way too many new ships around, what will I want to get to eventually in terms of pvp ships?

* My final goal will be to train carriers at one point. Gallante ones. Is this viable? Is it worth it? Or as a smaller scale player should I just stick to my battleships and cruisers and other t2-t3 ships I have no idea exsist?

* out of all these new gallante ships, which do you recommend for pve and pvp? When I left, black ops bs's were new. I have no idea what the ishtar is or the higher tier cruisers... I see them mentioned alot, is it worth going for them? or sticking with the mim / gall hybrid ships?

I realise this post is all over the place but I could use any help I can get. I tried reading up but all these plexes and incursions, I don't know what they are and am confused... I read that 100m isk / h was possible in incursions, am I able to do them soon with my skillset? Please help, thanks :)

Oh my, where to start...

Your skills are quite focused despite the apparent mess. I'd stick to improving what you have, and filling in the gaps.

Example: Energy Systems Operation 4 but Energy Management 5 which is three times longer to train.

Look at certificates. Especially Core Competency and Core Fitting.

You might want to look into Recons, work on HACs some more, and finish training for a Proteus.

With the coming rebalancing of Gallente and hybrids, I don't think now is the best time to cross-train only because something is FOTM. Wait and see. Unless you really want to pilot something different.

Ok, if you are starting with newbs and need some money, I'd recommend to do some missions with them. On the first glance I noticed that you have some decent drone, gunnery and BS skills, so Dominix is the obvious and best choice as a Gallente mission runner. Fill the gaps in your skills like the missing drone specs and holes in your armor tanking skills, train sentry drones to tech 2 and you have a nice basis to start with. Once you polished those skills out, a good option is to do some exploration, it can net you some good money and is more fun than endless mission grinding. For this I'd aim at the Ishtar, its a very good exploration boat and you have most of the skills for it already. Train the needed exploration skills after you finished HAC and the other support skills.

Also, hybrid weapons are gonna get buffed so its the perfect time for you to stick and improve your Gallente skills, dont crosstrain right now, there is still lots to polish on your existing skills.

Advanced Wepons Upgrades 5
Controlled Bursts 5
Repair System Operation 5
Combat drone Operation 5
racial drone Specs 4
long range targeting 5
signature analysis 5 (key core skill this its a rank 1 - get it to 5 asap)

you look to be a Gallente drone boat user - so then focus on gallente drone boats. Then work on you core fundamentals - tanking (comp skills 5, rep skills 5, shield skills that add hp to 4/5, cap skills 5) then branch over to blaster boats. At that point, you will b a year or so further into the game, and you will have a better idea of what you want and what you should train.
