Incidentally,
100MN Afterburners provide 150MN of thrust.
100MN MWDs provide ... 150MN of thrust.

No matter the Meta Level, same thrust across the board.

That's because they're bit-newtons, so it's kind of like how when they write on a hard drive that it contains 1TB, and it turns out they mean 10¹² bytes rather than 2⁴⁰ bytes and they've gypped you out of almost 100 gig…

…only the other way around.

I'm just saying, somehow you get radically different levels of performance out of the same thrust using different modules.

The magic of Submarine warfare.

Well, one obviously pushes your ship through space WD40, whereas the other pushes your (micro)warp bubble around. Bubbles are light, after all. P

But then how does it help you go down fast too?

I'd say it's relevant, 150MN Of thrust for the ship size. What would be 150MN Thrust on a frigate will most certainly not push something 1400x it's size at the same sped. (Unless of course you have borderline infinite time to accumalate small amounts of gain in M/S over time)

Meta levels, not ship sizes.

A Machariel with 100MN AB I will be slower than an otherwise identical Mach with a 100MN AB II
All with the exact same Thrust available.

Obviously the T1 version is built by the lowest bidder, while the T2 is built in the good ol' US of A.

Apple says soLol
