Somebody else mentioned this, but I'll stress it again. Contact CCP via the in-game ticket system (which is located under the Help menu). Things can happen and items get lost in the void - they still exist, but aren't in any legal location. Its rare, but it can happen. I've had it happen to be a few times over the years, but every time CCP was able to locate the items and restore them to my possession. Once or twice they even found items I didn't even know were missing!

It may take them a few days to get back to you (especially lately, as I think they're still overhauling the Ticket system), but they will help you in any way they can.
