My Eternal dissapointment

This is a post I'm making in return to CCP's latest battle report as shown here:
http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/battle-for-6vdt-h/

I'm simply stating my disappointment, that despite your wide coverage of what transpired, and the (almost passionate) description of the CFC's part which you gave. You seem to have ignored the other side. Many of the more southern based Coalition held this battle with great Pride, looking to show the largest and the most Feared Coalitions, that they will fight. Which despite the defeat they suffered, I believe they did. They tried to show, that they are not willing to abandon their friends, and help stand up to the seemingly Insurmountable domain of "King Mittens". Yet despite their incredible courage, in defending a system where they were still outnumbered, Someone, somewhere forgot to mention what bravery they showed to everyone who watched. This post is to pay respect to that.

I am in no way saying that Goon-swarm did not Show Bravery, Sacrificing their comrades with Plasma bombs and Shrapnel, splitting up some of their fleet as a risk to catch lone rangers off guard. Both sides did an incredible Job in both fielding the numbers and summoning the effort to fight through that, Disgustingly slow fight. In light of that, its only right that they are paid the correct tribute to that, that they fought against a coalition much stronger than them. Perhaps this war isn't the war to End Goon-swarms long reign of dominance, But for the people who are actually dedicating there time to fighting to break that streak, should it not be remembered?

You have my respect CCP for making the conditions in which this could take place, But you have lost it on your one sided account in what almost seems like (according to your article) a one sided battle and universe.

Side Note: This is in no way, an attack upon CCP, or any in-game Character or Alliance. This post is a mere tribute to the brave pilots of the southern side who were not mentioned in as much detail as the north.

I welcome all comments and scrutiny.

Thanks for reading.

I commend you for wanting your brothers in arms more publicity,

But unfortunately its not how the world works, who won the 2013 Olympic boxing gold? Luke Campbell
who won silver? i don't know.

History is written by the victors, and unfortunately its only them that articles surrounding the battle are written.

I know your disappointed and i understand it but keep your chin up, at least you got to take part in gaming history.

If its any consolation tho, o7 to you & your comrades, and im hugely jealous i wasn't there.

Hello,

Thanks for commenting. Whilst I completely agree with you that what you are saying is both true and unfortunate. It does not mean that people should follow a single point of view (the victor) throughout all things. Granted that was the biggest point of the battle to win or to loose. But the article published was seemingly made to show the valour of the players who took part in making the biggest battle in EVE history. Not even the regular media reporters who wrote articles on the battle stooped as low as to show one side, yet advertise it as a whole "player" event.

On note of you being unable to participate, perhaps next time :)

I understand, and again, while what i say is what i perceive to be true, it doesn't mean i agree with it either.

But i do agree with you, that whilst obviously out of game news channels & blogs talking about are one thing, The inside view such as CCP has, its a bit disappointing they didn't delve into as much.

Nor did they go into huge detail into the history the event, Maybe you could publish a blog about it? from the pebble that created the first ripple to the big splash ? it would be very interesting to read, get another persons point of view & see every step of the way that lead to the fight.

That, is a very good idea and i shall consider writing such a blog with my other EVE associates, I will however state id like anyone reading this thread to post, to reply with their view on this topic as i am curious as to how many would agree, disagree or suggest a neutral perspective.

Thanks
