No, during Reconstruction. The first Jim Crow laws started in 1867. Two years after the Civil War (War between the States).

See, you can't learn history via Google unless you know WHAT to even look up.

You really do hate Native Americans, don't you? Russell Means was exercising his right as an American citizen to renounce said citizenship. Do you even know who he was? He fought his entire adult life for equality for Native Americans. He founded the International Indian Treaty Council with the UN. He helped build clinics and schools. In 2012, when he renounced his citizenship it was in protest of the continued transgressions committed against Native Americans. And bringing up a single account of violence, written by Samuel Hearne(a white guy), doesn't mean much. You do realize that it happened in 1771, right? Or are you trying to argue you lived through it? You're trying to classify an entire race by bringing up a single event, written about by an unreliable source, from the 1700s. You really are a screwed up person. You've tried to say Native Americans don't count because "they aren't even citizens." That "anybody can call themselves Native American." And now you're bringing up an event from nearly 250 years ago. You are more racist than the guy Starkiller talked about in the OP.
