yeah, the BBC should instead report on the thrill a minute life of the hisec ice miner

that's even better publicity than "thousands of actual people duke it out in one place in a massive single-shard MMO"

Sure. That was to show that importance is not a value by itself.
Also, all things human end. Also out perceived importance.
But enough off-topic philosophy.

I AFK cloaky camped that system the whole battle.

Youre welcome.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Liar, if you had cloaky camped 6vdt, 4000 characters would have docked up or logged off...according to every single poster who has ever included the words "cloak" and "afk" in a post Twisted

Why is Adolf Hitler censored?

When:

Joseph Stalin.
Mao Ze Dong.
Genghis Khan.
Emperor Hirohito.
Barrack Obama.

Aren't?

True thing, it was slow, but what to do with 4k people?

Combat depends on a serial stream of actions, wich cant really take full advantage of marvels like paralelization as other activities can.

Just wish the interface would not slow down with the game graphics.

Was a fun fight, if you play the game fort he effect you can cause on the sand box and not for an action packed thing, wich is pretty much territory of small engagements.

Godwins law.

Also, I see what you did there.... That "whoop whoop" sound you will hear in 3.5 seconds are in fact black helicopters with the letters "NSA" on the side of them.

I think that's pretty unlikely. But if someone was in a grav in 6VD in a Mackinaw, mining throughout the battle, please speak up now, because you've got bragging rights.

Props to TEST for fighting and not standing down compared to other alliances who would of.. And props to CFC for fighting and winning the fountain campaign.

On a side note, this is why groups like TEST and Goons generate so much damn jealousy/hatred from some people. TEST and Goons (and the scammers and cheats and gankers and pirates) and the like are actually doing noteworthy things and contributing to the health (all those dead ships need replacing, have at it, carebears) and notoriety of EVE online.

Meanwhile, all the nice guy 'bears who love to talk about "sociopaths" are playing solo in protected space. Their existence in EVE online will come to the same conclusion as their IRL one...no one will know or care they even existed.

Melodramatic stupidity....It's a game, it means nothing in the big picture and as an escape from reality has nothing to do with how people really live their lives...especially when EVE has a large number of military people on active duty, hardly care bears in any way, shape or form...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Where did I say any such thing? You make the mistake of reading to much into a message. Where did i say anyting about any big pictures. You should go back and read what I wrote again.

That being said, however, I can imagine that people who might speak ill of others (out of jealous) in a game might be prone to do it out of game as well. That's the people I'm talking about, all those who poo poo null sec and various groups. The folks blowing up spaceships in null are for the most part at least doing something more useful than just resource gathering.

The smart nullbear does all of the bearing while on ops anyway.

Got a 15 jump transit in 10% TiDi? Fire up and alt and go scan, or run a couple missions, rats, putz around with your PI colonies, whatever.

Like anything else, life out here involves a fair amount of hurry up and wait.

Last I looked I've spent about 290mil in ammo over the last couple months.
