See, it's crap like this that makes everyone think you are an idiot. Had you brought 1000 carebears to null, then perhaps you would be able to say bs like this. But you brought 7.

You are not some leader of the carebears, you are just a kid that's a bit too big for his boots. I think you should remove your "King HighSec" moniker until you deserve it.

I love my daily dose of Harry. You are impervious to criticism. I laud your enthusiasm for this utterly hopeless cause, and hope you can somehow convince more carebears to fight the system. Gather the hordes, Harry! Blow the horn of war, and strike the blue donut in the heart of it's operations!!

He's only "impervious to criticism" as he's got everyone on ignore and he's too dense to realise when people are telling him things for his own good. He does rage out a lot and keeps saying how it's all getting too much and it tires him out though, so lets keep the criticism rolling. Eventually he'll crack, go supernova rage and quit EVE. Then we will no longer have to listen to this nonsense about how all this is new, and never been done before, even though we all know it happens every day.
I'm hoping he'll go rage out on my blog too :p

Actually it's "Harry, your idea is both unoriginal and badly executed. You have no ability to plan, not ability to lead and no ability to fight, The cyno kills you present are less than meaningless yet you present them as if we are supposed to bow before your might. I'd like to say the game would be better without you, but beyond seeing less crying on the forum for CCP intervention when you don't get your way, nobody would notice."

It really doesn't matter if you chose to listen or not. Everyone else gets to read it and the majority would agree, thus damaging your reputation as a leader of high sec carebears. The fact that your event was such a failure after so much initial interest is a testament to the disgrace you've caused yourself. Bravo Harry, bravo.

Stalking and trolling, what CFC is good at, apparently.

I had a friend whose father was in a bomber crew that did missions over Europe. They had an interesting saying:

"Flak means you are over the target".

The people who claim that this is of no matter to them are the ones making the most noise and taking the most time to troll Harry. This means a lot.

A good troll does pretty much what was done to Harry. A better troll would have known that it's an indication of weakness to troll so hard and would have found a less butthurtful way to fight back in the forums.

Somebody is lacking in their understanding of "sandbox". I don't think anybody could be this ignorant, therefore it's an indication of fear. Perhaps Harry's not high up in experience and forum warrioring, but there is a chance that what he's doing becomes a play style, and this does not bode well for certain people.

As for wardecs - I think deccing someone who roams nullsec is not going to be fruitful. What are they going to do, blow his ship up? He has to care about that for it to matter. But at this point, Harry has reached William Wallace status and he already has hundreds of ships. All he would get out of this is practice.

So much of the false paradigms of Eve is built on fear of loss, fear of bad stats, fear of forum trolls, and ePeenery. To challenge this status quo is to go up against those beholden to this realm (for having either been damaged by it and unable to face that fact, now have fealty to their torment) of blackened little souls.

As a moderator of some web forums that were targeted by provocateurs and paid trolls, I learned and demonstrated to other people not to waste energy on trolls. Not to even bother with them. We went around them, ignored them, and outright banned them when they would blow up (for their tactics failed, violating the rules was the last resort). These forums became the "troll free places".

But I'm not in the habit of blocking people. No doubt I can understand why. And what Harry is doing is basically what he wants in a sandbox. Why should he have to suffer the cries and caterwauling of those who disagree? And especially so, if they hail from a forum where trolling is well known?

We often forget, especially in the USA, that the right to free speech also entails the right to ignore. Harry has that right, and to rail against it, is the reason why I don't block people, because seeing people so bothered by Harry exercising his right is enjoyable.

Were I in a nullsec powerblock, sitting on my throne atop my piles of moon goo and ISK, I would be more concerned about Harry and people like him if they were NOT making "noise". A dead ship is a dead ship, regardless of who says what and where.

But perhaps, even in the actual case, we can know that a lightning rod spares the rest of the building from damage. So fear not what rattles at the gate, but for that little thump in the attic.

My involvement with this thread is at an end. It's not going to go anywhere. I'm reminded of the great gun debate where I have to remind people that real freedom is not needing permission or acceptance from someone else to do anything. And so few new players read the forums, all of this amounts to textual felation anwyay. Real change is not made from argument, as if something is going to matter by convincing someone who is ready not to be convinced (for whatever reason). I have pretty much written all that's needed to be written at this point.

So from here I take my leave, and spend my time where it matters. See you all in space.

Another wall of text

You really do like walls of text. I skimmed it.

Again you seem to miss the point.
Listen up carefully, because you clearly aren't paying attention. We don't care what Harry wants to do. Yes it's a sandbox and he can do what he wants. But if he comes on the forum banging on about cyno kills like anyone gives a damn, and claiming the end of the Goons, expect to get a response. I'll state it again to be clear. We're not talking about his in game actions, we're talking about the way he speak to the community at large. Read his posts all over the forum. They are all the same. Raging out as soon as someone disagrees. People like that should GTFO.

You realise that you are claiming you are against trolls, yet if you read Harry's other posts, anyone that even politely disagrees with him, he starts insulting people. Go ahead and look them up. He comes in as a brand new player, starts chucking old ideas around like buying skill points for plex, and when people disagree, he starts throwing a fit. If you want to get behind someone like that, go ahead. I'll stick to backing people that have a proven track record for understanding the needs of the masses rather than the few.

Null sec powerblocks will never need to worry about high sec players. If you'd been awake in the last 7 years you've (supposedly) been playing, you'd realise this is a recycled idea and at most the high sec players manage to do a few billion isk of damage before realising it was way more effort on their part than it was worth.

Sure Harry has the right to ignore, and that bothers me none. The fact that he's been on the brink of quitting his little event and you continue to write wall after wall of sperg shows it's having the desired effect though.

Ha! This is some stalkerish stuff right here. I just checked my posts, 77 is the exact number of responses I've made across all of Harry's posts (excluding this one of course). For someone that has me ignored and doesn't care what I think, he's gone to an awful lot of effort to count all that up.
All because I pointed out that his god awful idea of an event was utterly useless, and that he has disgraced himself or a regular basis. Keep on counting Harry. This would be 78.

We can truce when he stops declaring himself King HighSec and admits the unoriginal event idea was a total failure, or he can quit or delete his character. Until then: 79
