Eve is so dark looking I cannot make out any details. I have tried coming up with other system calibrations to use and they lighten up the screen just fine (in non-Eve apps) but whenever Eve takes focus, it alters the calibration back to being dark again, just for Eve. Eve has no settings for calibration itself so I cannot figure out how to lighten up the screen within Eve.

Yes, I have the very latest updates for all my drivers.

Any ideas anyone?

My machine:

  • Early 2008 MacPro
  • Dual Quad-core Xeon Processors
  • 6Gb memory
  • EVGA 570 Gaphics
  • Acer X223W monitor
  • OSX Mountain Lion 10.8

Unless I can fix this, I must cancel Eve.

Id bug report it. But there is the possibility your graphics card has fallen below the minimum requirements for Eve, and you need to upgrade your hardware.

Edit: looked up your graphics card. It should be OK. Bug report it, many have had graphics issues with 10.8.
