I'm a long time EVE player and decided to check in on the new stuff since I last played. I liked the idea of having the client on Steam since I have every other game I play there.

First of all I have a complaint. You should really update the FAQ about Steam and EVE you have on the Steam forums, since it is outdated. I read it carefully so I didn't get anything wrong, but in the end I wasted my money. The cd-key I expected never arrived and an account had been created for me (prior to this I had created a trial account through the EVE webpage to upgrade later with the cd-key I was supposed to get according to the FAQ you have posted).

The information posted is a bit unclear with some other stuff as well, such as if the account that got made for me can be used with the standalone EVE client, which it can not.

I decided to leave the steamcreated account alone and just transfer the stuff I got from the Amarr starter pack to this new trial account I myself had created. I am really disappointed in CCP and/or Valve (don't really know whose fault it is) but most of all myself for not doing enough research and trusting officially posted FAQs. I guess there is no way I can get the month of gametime I paid for transferred to the account I created(probably not)?

Anyway, like a fool I will still play your game despite this very bad experience and thus need help something.

When I launch EVE through steam it is automatically set on logging in with my steam account, which I don't want. Can I somehow remove it, or set a different default login? I tried digging in the EVE folders for settings, but couldn't find anything editable related to this. Is there a way?

Also please allocate some time from developing unfinished ideas to updating the damn FAQ so others won't get tricked like I was.

Thank you!
