It's effective enough when you don't find any neuts or cloak neuting ship jumping over you meaning it's a very flimsy bet on other players inability to think.

I'm however like you, Proteus without cap injector is a no way for me, without web not much of a problem (18km heat scram helps)

Its not an active shield tanker, its more a buffer shield fit with the buffer in the charges. ASB cant be capped out by nuets.


Indeed, notice I'm not saying it doesn't work or it's bad, it's a nice thinking out of the box that will succeed and offer you awesome pvp experience, if you feel comfortable with then go.
All I can say on top of /claps for the out of the box thinking is the exponential risk you take with this setup, again it's a matter of steel nerves and knowing what you're doing, picking your fights and make it so you have the last word, however if things turn wrong I still think a light 800mm buffer fit would offer you better chances or ascape possibilities.

Just an opinion and also: props for trying for thinking differently and actually trying it in other places than EFT/Pyfa

I'd - in case of solo - rather stick to drones than to a fifth gun, especially as you get a 100m³ drone bay along with it. (ecm, warriors, hobgoblins)

The actual applied dps of those drones is at least on par with oyur blasters, and using hobgoblins you don't lose that much. Sadly, ASB will be tighter and tighter to fit - I personally would scrap that. You can decloak within range for web+scram and just burn it down. Your scope - I want to impose - is geared towards people just finishing up a c2/c3 anom and they might be well equipped with an AB.

If ASB, rather go for a loki with lots of fun thanks to 'LOOK MOM I JUST LOADED EMP AGAINST THAT TENGU'
