Dear EVE Online players,

When I am bored a little bit I often click around and look at the characters you guys have created. One thing according to the female characters is very ... prominent: It seems you guys mostly like big racks and half naked, skinny bodies.

I know that with a probability of 80 to 90% a man created the character. I am not a feminist. I think this a firstly a questions of aesthetics which of course depends on personal views. But I ask myself is this the imagination you have how a woman should be? This is not an attack on you guys. And I do not want to start a discussion of what you all thing is beautiful. I only wanted to show a conspicuity.

I do not tell you what to do. EVE Online is a free game for which you all pay. You can do what you want. I only wanted to give my opinion.

Regards.

If you are not a feminist, you are doing it wrong.

It actually made way more sense than what YOU bravely deduced from virtual portraits on a sci-fi game.

Indeed. But you know that EVE Online provides also 3D character models which someday will walk on stations. I am very excited how this will look like.

Both my mains on my two accounts (one m, one f) are skinny. Why? How much use are your muscles when you are in a pod, flying the ship with your hardwired brain? The're just needless mass.. :).

There are two players

Ones who create character to plays as

And ones who press "random" and wear a cut-out paper mask so they can run around in anomonity.

Lets work harder to get the RP out of this MMORPG!!

Down with well thought out characters! In fact, ban choice, random assignment of AVs for everyone and a number instead of a name!

Vanity of course, in character terms why would they not be muscular if that is their preferred body shape :D

unless they are a goth poddie...

serious reply to the initial thread...90% player base is men, they probably pick the female body shape that appeals, and the typically enhanced looking body shape is that which the media push as the 'ideal', hence more of these avatars.

I always smile a little when I get likes on posts I made months in the past. usually i take it as a sign people are still at least trying to use the forums correctly and not just repost the same topics that have been done dozens of times lol Blink

*Accidentaly flat.

Also, racksize apparently strongly depends on your political orientation. Rightwinged usually prefer big racks, leftwinged usually prefer small racks. (is not a joke)

That aside, what do you think would happen if you could adjust primary male parts?

Wait... so i am not a troll?.... dammit...

Also most people who have characters/alts made to look "good" are ship spinners in noobie systems.... else here in nullsec no one really looks at your character.. when they do they already heard your voice about 50 times.......

I remember wondering what people where thinking the first few months i played eve.

So ya, no one really cares about these people, its not my business... i also don't care if you like to rat in a super carrier... or if you wanna run highsec missions all day long, thats what i dont care means...
If you do care just go play with a group of people in FW, or Low sec, or Null.... or WH space.... then you start not caring much because you know the guy behind it and even there avatars aren't that much to people who play the game for its aspect

The avatar means very little to me, and in RP terms all it would show is that in the EVE universe the prevailing aesthetic preferences just happen to run in line with our RL ones...massive coincidence :D

In the animal kingdom- large, productive breasts and wide hips are a sign of fertility and many species will prominently present their backsides as a sign that they wanna be mated. Think: twerking.

So I believe that men are hardwired to like big knockers Smile

No one cares, I repeat. No one. Not anyone, no individual exist with a real care for this matter. I prefer others use a nice looking female avatar, even if under-dressed over an obvious attempt to make the most non-human avatar they possibly can.

Also, I don't know about you but when I slide into my goo-pod I don't see much point in wearing clothes.

Crime, it is not a "career", it is a lifestyle.
