Right on, just don't take your retriever out there until you can afford to lose it and/or have some friends to protect you. While most won't bother to hunt a venture, a retriever will be a target.

As you don't seem to be risk adverse, consider ninja gas mining in wormholes to further utilize your venture. This should be even more profitable than your hold full of Jaspet.

Didn't see this site listed yet:

http://eve.grismar.net/ore/

Due to extreme lazyness, when I mine I just plug the current prices from Eve Central into the boxes at the top of the page, click "Apply" and then mine the best ore I can find based on isk/hr listed on the right.

Sorry, another question. Makes sense to put them here instead of littering the forum with new threads, and it's mining related anyway.

I've been dabbling in some low sec mining for the last three days, and today I suffered my first casualty. I was in a system with about ~20 asteroid belts, and I was about halfway down the list. I was keeping an eye on local, and saw a guy pop in from a corp that tried to gank me yesterday (I got away that time). I was getting ready to leave as a precaution, but he was on me within about a minute of appearing in the system.

So my question... is there something he was utilizing to find me right away, or did he get lucky? And if he is using something to find out where I am, do I have any options to negate it?

Thanks!

If he was using combat scanner probes to track you down, there's not much that can be done to counter them. But he might also have just gone and warped to multiple belts to see if you turned up.

All ships are fitted with a directional scanner which has a range of up to 14AU. A PvP pilot will use this to look for ships in asteroid belts as a matter of habit.

By the time a minute was up, you should have already left the belt or activated your cloak. It only takes a few seconds to D-scan, then 30 seconds to warp to the belt.
