That didn't work, as stated in my ticket I tried that a long time ago - ended up having to reformat although looks like right after I reformatted another used found a solution here... https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=258646&find=unread

I hope I get reimbursed for all that wasted time.

It takes 1 minute for the launcher to appear when I start Eve. Often I start Eve again to make the launcher to appear faster... But I waited now and it takes 1 minute to launch from computer start.

Also, when a patch comes, it fails to update. It claims that Eve is already running. I ignore these error messages and then it continues but fails. I have to restart Eve launcher for it to continue patching.

I have installed Eve manually to D-drive.

I then used web site for bug reporting, but it fails too! It says that an unexpected error occurred, please try again. But it lost my post and I would have to write the post again!

I tried to post a bug in the bug reporting tool, but an unexpected error occurred!

What a total failure. At least the forums work.

finally got a reply to my ticket, 'SHGetFolderPath' error was the error my launcher was throwing, which according to the gm is be cause "generated when the client tries to access some files which have either moved location or are no longer available"

in my case the launcher has some how latched into a USB hard drive so with it connected the game starts, disconnect it and hay presto nothing happens... now three things come to mind...

whys it looking at the external hard disk marked up as H:\ rather than the complete install folder on C:\??
why didnt a complete uninstall / redownload / reinstall fix this (presumably its registry issues)
most importantly WHY doesnt the launcher tell us what the hell is wrong.. or at least give us a clue without waiting a week for a GM..

Still its working again... but i wont hold my breath too much for reimbursement of the combined 6 weeks of game time I've lost..

same here i try to start eve but i got an exception massage where i can start eve or pres simple ok. Pressing ok dont do nothing,[resing start eve and the massage is gone but dont start eve .tried reinstaling ev,reper eve,reinstal all the drivers nothing helps.i only can start eve from the bin folder exe file.

My problem still occurs. I can launch Eve, but it takes a minute or double launch, and every update installation hangs.
