Second client won't operate at different resolution?

I'm trying to run a separate client with a separate prefs folder, because my second monitor is a different resolution. However, the old "Info.plist" trick doesn't seem to work. I change the PrefsFolderName line to something different, but it just changes back whenever I start the launcher. Am I missing somewhere? Is this data stored somewhere else? I deleted the "cache" folder located at App/Contents/Resources, is there another cache I need to delete?
