Im looking into getting into faction warfare. Im a gallente pilot but im currently living down in amarr/providence and plan to continue doing so.

Because of this im thinking about joining amarr instead of gallente because that warzone is closer.

To my question. If i choose to fight for amarr agains minmatar in faction warfare, what will that do to my gallente standings? I have done some missions for gallente and would like to keep my standings there, if possible. Will it even affect the standings?

Are you sure that you read my question at all? Because those links doesnt answer my question at all.

I want to fight with amarr against minmatar. To my understanding you loose standing when you kill the npc in the plexes and when you "take them over". To my understading it is minmatar rats in these plexes.

So, does this affest my GALLENTE standings? I know gallente are aliies to minmatar, so will killing minmatar lower my gallente standings. Will i ever be killing gallente npcs in the amarr vs minmatarr warzone?

Right now, i dont really care about my minmatar standings.

I have searched alot, but i really dont know how to formulate this question into search terms.

Aside from the fact your gallente standings are pegged to your minmatar standings, no.

You'll never see gallente NPCs in minnie FW plexes

What do you mean pegged to minmatar standings? If i loose minmatar standings i automatically loose gallente standings? Is this true for everything that makes me loose standings for gallente or minmatar?

Yes. Look at the transactions log for your standings sometime. Any time you've gained standing with Gallente, you've had an automatic increase in your Minmatar standings (along with Sisters of Eve, Interbus, Jove Empire etc in smaller amounts), based on the standings between the factions.

So killing minmatar NPCs for Amarr will crash your minmatar standings and drag your gallente standings down with it. This is the reason that, despite never having shot a caldari NPC, 4 years in Minmatar FW left this character at -5 to the caldari state.

Is there any way to do pvp in fw environment that doesnt cause standing loss?

Anyone can PVP in the fw environment without being in FW and therfore not receive standings loss, you will instead get security status loss.
