I'm curious why do you even bother still asking for a loan when we all know that the chances of you getting one are about 0.
At this point I'm not even sure you could even get a collateralized one (And that is quite an "achievement" lol).

If I don't ask, it can never happen. And why not, collateralized means that the investor can't lose isk

I think he's referring to a loss of "face" that someone would incur at accepting this deal.
I.e. a concept similar to RL loaning to pushers, ponces or whatever. They certainly don't lack the money so you are safe, but other people won't look at those deals with a good opinion.
Not saying you have anything good or bad behind you, just interpreting his post.
