Is it sad it took me a good part of a day to realize OP meant Original Poser?

As for my condition, I have cancer along my spine, and organs that are for lack of a better term 'defective' it was a condition I was born with, just accelerating. I suspect being diabetic didn't overly help, but it's sort of a toss up what kills me. Cancer, organ failure. My biological mother died of the organ condition when she was 34, and I was told she wanted medically assisted suicide sooner.

Are you referring to neurofibromatosis? Just curious.

Sorry to hear about your sickness op.

If you still want to make people happy go to newbie help channel, donate 20m to everyone asking a serious noob question. It's a lot of money for a completely new player. They will appreciate it more then your old "friends".

Confirming that EvE is full of dicks.

The truely honourable and helpful players are a rare breed in EvE online. The harsh universe of EvE has created a culture of freeloaders, willing to lie, cheat, scam and swindle to achieve their own selfish ends. Don't let the haters defeat you, rise above the scum and strive for excellence. You are an example of the best that EvE has to offer, the hard-to-find individuals that actually contribute towards the community rather than leech off of it like a parasite.

All the best in death, i hope there is something beyond the veil to reward your strength of character!

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

If your RL health is that bad, then major FAIL for wasting time on worthless neckbeards playing interweb make-believe. Rather, do something more meaningful like a web-blog sharing your experience so that others like you can find someone that relates to them and then Youtube that ****.

Its good that your quitting... now get to blogging.

Disagree with this. I have health problems that I generally keep quiet unless it's relevant to the discussion (like this). In Eve it means no one knows, so it's impossible to judge me based on that, it's just my skill at the game vs someone else skill at the game, and for anyone with any prejudice in the real world it's tough **** because it doesn't mean anything when in the game, I can blow them up easy as they can do me, so playing Eve is quite satisfying and productive. I can't speak for OP but Id' rather do Eve than rake over my problems in a blog or swim around reef.

OP, rather than quit, I suggest you shoot a mail to Sindel Pellion, and help the Angel Project. It has helped me out of a jam before, when I had lost quite a bit due to stupid newbie mistakes. If you explain your situation, I am sure she could help you in distributing your isk amongst players in need, instead of having your kind nature taken advantage of.....and letting other individuals screw you over.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

You see, that's kind of the underlying point here.

His physical issues have no relevance to the loss of his preferred income stream in EVE, yet he brings them up repeatedly.

You, on the other hand, don't discuss personal issues of that same nature unless it is relevant. You don't continually fish for sympathy.

I doubt there is any confusion as to why he was asked to leave.

Because he encourages someone who claims to suffer from a terminal disease to experience life instead of wasting the little that is left on videogames?
Truly nefarious...

Well, you know Dinsdale.

If a super model threw herself at him, professing eternal love, and tried to lead him to her bedroom he would berate her for being a trashy bimbo with no sense of self respect or good taste.

Ironically, in that one situation, he'd be correct. Smile

Your poor health makes you decide to help other gamer addicts?

18/7? Really? Just because your addicted to this game doesn't mean you want to help people.

First off if someone cant afford to play this game and is forced to earn isk to plex then they obviously need to stop playing and get a part time job, and quit wasting their life on a game. Quit enabling them to be a loser the rest of their life.

There are so many OTHER ways to help people in this world besides enabling other gamers to be lazy and leech off a poor fool like you.

Here is my list

1) Get your ass to a nursing home and talk to the elderly, all you gotta do is sit there and listen.

2) Sign up for Habitat for Humanity in store volunteer opportunities. Most places just need someone sitting in the back helping folding clothes, manage sales reports etc.. If you can play eve then you can help them.

3) Go to a dog shelter and volunteer your time with other dogs, they could care less whats growing on your spine and just want a moment of your precious time to feel a little loved.

4) Youth mentorship programs need people to volunteer time at schools to mentor other students that are having REAL issues besides not being a to afford a plex. Again all you have to do is sit there and listen.

5) Childrens hospitals throughout the country welcome volunteers to talk to children, AGAIN just sit there and listen.

Im not going to waste anymore time on this. I created this list in 5 minutes. I'm sure if you have 18/7 you can figure out some things yourself.

I'm glad your quitting EVE because you were not helping anyone and its shameful that you think giving isk is a charitable service.

Necro thread.

But since it was bumped, I might as well ask a question:

So OP's corp history said that he actually joined Krypteia Operations for several hours after getting this offer.
Erotica, Riot Girl, whoever, I'd appreciate if you could provide the whole sad and dramatic story of what happened within those 8 hours.

Pretty please?

You know I need drama like oxygen...

Outright scamming would be stupid.
Erotica has worked very hard for years to get the reputation of being the only (or one of the very few) honest isk doublers in this game- you don't risk the future of your entire business model just to scam a guy who was going to quit the game anyway.

At least it doesn't sound very reasonable to me...

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

So I finally realized just how truly cold blooded Eve is. Alot of people will go QQ, I don't exactly care, I just thought I'd share how I finally realized it.

I have poor health in Real Life, tumors on my spine and around it. I have organs starting to fail, I just have little else I can do in RL but..well. Nothing, so I decided to focus on things to help people, I can't do it in RL, but I could in Eve. I ran incursions 18/7, so I could maintain a sizable ISK income, trying to plex people who needed it, on a daily basis, plex my self as needed, keep my ship going so I could stay at running incursions 18/7. I actively decided, to play Eve, to carebear. I decided, that if I was ganked, I'd not fight back, but infact, ask if I could do any thing to make their future game play more pleasurable, if they needed help PLEXING to stay in game. Some people haven't the RL finnances to maintain their game after all.

I got burned by the group I flew with, every one told me I was just being trolled, but how often do you troll some one that isn't involved with running a community, and not state they are welcome back?

Ultimately, I realized, I wasn't actually valued in the Eve Community for what I did. No one -cares- cares about it. Eve is a pretty cold place in the end. Fortunately, with the amount of PLEX I bought for my self, I can snicker that it's pretty likely my account will expire -after- I do. Maybe I shouldn't find this funny, but I do. A MMO account out lives the owner.

So let the troll posts begin against me, but it doesn't really matter, I can no longer sustain my play style in Eve Online. Don't really hate the game as a whole, but it showed me how bitter and cold people are. I guess I should have seen it coming after how often you read about being ****** over in one way or another in this game. It's alot like betting on the Horses; one moment it's fine, the next your wiped out and begging in the soup kitchen. I could probably plex my self for eternity on strip mining, but that doesn't let me do what I really wanted from Eve; to help others in game, as I can no longer do so in Real Life.

Hey Ravaun, i like you enjoys helping people, one of the reasons iwe stayed in CAS, as for your situation in EvE, take a break enjoy the Autum, and who knows in alittle things might feel better, or you could allways try start a toon in CAS, or with your main get involved in CAS activities, well CAS is short for Center for Advanced Studies, its a start NPC corp, but its pretty special, due to the fact many older experienced people tries to run it or make events for everyone in it, and mostly so for new players, we have several forum groups, from mining, combat, as a example, i know a few close friends did run incursions, the most known is the about monthly CCD(cas combat day event) we try round up as many friends and CAS people and then we go fighting in null, and new people are set up with jump clones, so they can get down to null stations more easy, we cant threaten the big corps, head on, the motto is fly cheap, explode cheap, bring alot of scrap buckets, and have fun, some of these roams can last for a day nonstop, sometime ewen longer

Regardless what you choose to do !, enjoy life and have funs !

If you really want to help people, check out the newbie system local chats and stuff. Those guys would be super happy with just 5-10mill ISK. They could use some advice, and would appreciate your gestures much more. Or you can check out EVE-Uni, ... etc.
