Is it really necessary to have good factions everywhere in Empire?

Yeah the CN stores have been pushed to a level there is hardly any profit for most items. I am sort of kind of lazy so if I get 500isk / LP exchange I feel lucky. Incursions really screwed some of the stores which is what the devs wanted which was to NERF yet again missions to once again EpicFail at forcing their customers to play the way they want us too.. Sad really.

Yes, it was definitely CCPs creation of incursions that screwed up LP store prices and not the extreme popularity of certain factions in general. I know I get a heck of a lot better than 500, averaging 1400LP/isk filling buy contracts, even more if I have the patience to wait for my own contracts to sell. Apparently even that isn't a good value for LP / isk but it's already more effort than I want to put into it.

Yeah something like the CNR gets about 465isk to LP. Assuming you use 600k lp and Raven and Nexus chip. If you find the chip that only cuts about 7 million off the profit. Of course this is a big ticket item but easiest to deal with the market with.

The last one I sold two days ago I let go at 330 million because they just aren't as popular anymore.

Caldari Missiles cost 3million isk right off plus the standard missile even here you could most likely make a bit more but selling them at a 1000 isk each that is only 5million isk - 3mil - 5000 standard missiles, so even here it is only 400 to 500 isk/lp ratio.

Not worth the marketing and seeding the market with them. To me anyway.

I don't agree!

DMC has done a lot of work to develop a detailed and very useful 'plan' to help wayward mission runners rehabilitate the low faction standings that come from one-sided mission running. There is no better 'tool' in that respect! All the same, not everyone needs / wants recourse to that tool ... and some don't realise or anticipate the possibility that they may need it in the future.

I think DMC can be justly proud of that effort. What he has done is a help to many within eve. He has built something without hurting anyone or destroying anything else ... except perhaps myth, rumour, and misinformation.

As such I see no problem at all with his referring to 'the plan' wherever it seems relevant, and when he misses a relevant posting I have no problem with also making that reference. It's a great tool, and quickly drawing ppl's attention to it often helps them quickly respond to their troubling low standings.

Your approach and style is your business, but I do not see you as having any legitimate cause to deride someone who has put so much constructive effort into building something that is so widely useful. Of course, I also accept that having no legitimate business is not something that necessarily limits or restricts ppl in these forums.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

It's not "Necessary", you just can't really auto pilot around in that space.

If you get 10 times less for you LP that you would get at other agents, why the **** you are still flying for the same agents? And what this all got to do with incursions? Do you honestly believe someone buys cheap stuff from the caldari navy store when he can use his lp for much better stuff?

I think they should drop faction standing loss from running missions.

That's pointless. That removes any sort of penalty from running missions.
