Settings reset on crash

My computer tends to crash a lot. This is not Eve's fault since it happens if you just look at it funny.

But one annoying thing I think shouldn't be happening is that about half the time when I get back into the game some of my settings have reset to default. For example the overview and when I move my modules around to the right hotkeys.

Can this be avoided?
