Can one purchase the "EVE Symphony Soundtrack" CD seperately anywhere?

The only other game soundtrack that I play occasionally is the very ancient bur excellent Myst.

I still have my antique Myst, and Riven soundtrack CD's !

Also I have a feeling the rifter model will be underwhelming china rubbish . It's gotta look bad from at least one side, because of the USB ports.

I had the same concerns over the Rifter model, and was worried about how it would look with the USB ports in it. Thankfully, I got a look at the prototype version of it when it came into the office. It's actually pretty good quality.

The USB ports are in two pairs, and take up the positions of the two main boosters on the back of it. The micro USB input on the back that goes to your computer is right in the center of the rear of the model, and takes up the position of the auxiliary thruster on the center of the rear of the ingame model. Also, the "cockpit" glass flickers with data activity.

I wasn't convinced either until I actually saw it. Now I'll be getting hold of one to put on mah desk! Big smile

That's pretty cool - the design sounds well thought out. Smile

Thank you for posting this information - it's the sort of detail that makes a huge difference. Smile

Its not an eve board game, its just the board game that funded the development of eve. Like monopoly or something.

To the devs, if I buy a collectors edition, can I sell the useless dust 514 codes on the forums for ISK?

$200 bucks for this crap? Oh, my sides.

But it goes to prove why P.T. Barnum made a lot of money. Yes, suckers really are born every minute.

Thanks for the reply. I am as much a visual person as you are I guess, so you'll have to send pix. P Btw, I said this in another post. Make the game code redeemable for plex, that'll make me cave in I guess.

I used one in the last ten minutes to take pictures from the dSLR into the computer. I don't faff about with scrawming around the floor plugging bits of cables in here and there. I have a hub on the top of my PC and the cables go from that.

I would have asked; who doesn't use an USB hub?

People with modern cases. I have 4 USB ports on the front top of my case. Most cases these days have them also.

My issue is that I play Eve Online, not DUST 514.

I cannot see the point of paying for stuff for a game I do not play.

If CCP were to offer an Eve Online only version, I would quite happily buy it.

I have a ton of them too, but I imagine it might be handy for those with laptops. I don't think I will use it as a hub, but as long as the ship looks good from at least three sides I don't mind.

I'm kinda confused by the Gnosis BPC. The Gnosis is pretty obviously designed as a newbie ship, what with its ability to fit absolutely anything, counterbalanced by it being objectively worse than any other ship at any specific role. Problem is, you're shipping BPCs out to people who are clearly going to be Vets, since newer players aren't going to drop $150 on this, so you've effectively just shipped out sheets of digital paper that eventually won't see use at all.

Granted, the appreciation pack flooded the game with Gnosi, but as a whole the ship is oddly delivered to veterans who have no need for it, and are rendered inaccessible or impractical to the newbies who actually want it. I can't even think that an Alt would use it, just because most people let the alt build up to the skills they actually need before bothering to multibox.

This is exactly how I feel about the Nefantar Thrasher and the Tash-Murkon Magnate - they are both newbie ships as well - I have no use for them. Straight

The sort of ship that I would use would be a battleship for ratting, exploring, or for doing incursions Smile

For example, if CCP released a modified Macherial or a special Domanix, I would buy the Collector's Edition with no hesitation.

For example, a Macharial or Domanix with exploration bonuses.

Thoughts on the CE, you ask?

I think that it sounded a bit cooler when first announced at Fanfest, but despite some of the things pointed out in the thread - if it was available for a comparative price in PLEX, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Its not the price is 150 Euros or 150 Dollars. Not 150 Euros or 200 Dollars.

Source: Bought my collectors edition day 1, paid 150 USD.

I bought it primarily for the Rifter Hub, the Book, and some of the in-game exclusive stuff.

I sold the Thrasher for 1.2 billion, so using that for PLEX money already cut down on the price of the whole package. I don't care about the DUST stuff at all; I don't own a PS3, so I sent those codes to Chribba (because he's a nice guy).

Really not interested in the soundtrack. I've grown up around truly great orchestras (Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, etc.), and sadly the orchestra in Iceland just doesn't cut it for me. It's was a cool idea and it's fantastic exposure for the orchestra, but I'm afraid that as soon as I play the disc in I'll be cringing over intonation.
