What do you think of the Collector's Edition?

The golden pod was a major disappointment. Dirty bronze in colour and not showing up in the CQ. Meh.

Also didn't get the 60 day time code for the second account.

I'm enjoying it. I didn't buy it, or buy anything from it on market, but I'm still enjoying it. Big smile

It isn't on a separate card like the Eve and Dust codes. It is actually printed directly on the back of the paper foldout instructions in that CD case.

FInally got it and collected the in-game items last night. The quality of all the real world items is really good. The only negative is the Rifter... they chose a really brittle plastic to make it and one of my antennae was broken on arrival. Nothing a spot of super glue couldn't fix though. They couldn't have used a softer more flexible plastic though, because the Rifter has too much detail and the mold wouldn't have worked with another material. It's fine, I dig it. It looks like a lot thought went into the Rifter, and I don't have another piece of electronics like it. I think they must have hand buffed in the scratches... it's really cool. Everything in the physical box is of a very high quality. They put a lot of thought into it. It's a steal for the price.

My CD had 4 fold out panels, and the mystery code was on it's own black hard plastic card on one of those panels.

Edit: Just realized he's talking about adding another account. Yup back of the paper foldout. ...or every other month's "special" promotion.

I've recently ordered it but the tracking number I got from the store doesn't appear to be assigned to any parcel according to DHL.

My parcel appears to not exist

Folks talk about whether or not the Collector's Edition is worth $180 or whatever it was that we paid for it on pre-order.

Let's look at the in-game content:

Golden Pod Implant (Sold 24 hours after I claimed it for 5.5 billion isk. Now it's going for 2.5-3 billion I think)

The Mechanical Arm (Sold 24 hours after I claimed it for 1 billion isk)

The Faction Thrasher (Nefantir?) (Sold for 700 mil)

So taking all other in-game content aside, these three items gave me ~7 billion isk.

That's about 11 PLEX, or close to $200 worth of PLEX.

So I got all the Collector's Edition goodness for basically nothing.

Stop whining guys. CE was a very very good deal.

im amazed the box colapse in price with 33% after alrdy 2 months

Don't forget the two implants (Genolution Core Augmentation CA-3 and the CA-4) worth another 2B isk as well, also the Dust items worth as well. its a easy 10B isk in items and you still get all the goodies as well. Now the new offering of the CE is not worth it cause it does not come with any of the Pre-Order items that are worth the isk to sell in game.
